Our road is beautiful and the people are fab and they all know the outdoor cats, especially Harvey now he is back outdoors
but unfortunately we have one road around the back and its very rough, the policeman who is fab has gone door to door asking questions and I know he established that Izzy went through the end neighbours garden this morning so she must have wandered over the back. The vet apparently thinks the shot came from high up, possibly a window.Like I said earlier money talks and I think the sun has a good way of getting people to talk.x
as i say the sun are good hun, and you have wonderful neighbours i need to live somewhere like that, i di hope Izzu starts feeling better really soon

and massive hugs to you and your neighbours hun

I'm so glad to hear Izzy made it through the surgery. Our little Flowerbelle had to have an eye removed (due to disease, not intentional violence!!!), so the worst is past, thank goodness.
What wonderful neighbors!

I hope the Sun runs with the story, and I hope you're able to find who did this!!!!!

Continued for Izzy! And for her family.

What a sick and vile person. I hope that catch them. And for Izzy and the kind cat people of your neighborhood:

It sounds like you have wonderful neighbors Ruthy!! It's times like this when you really need them too. We have to be the voices for these little ones, and I know they have good people on their side if you're one of them. Good Luck and keep us posted. xxoo

As I sit with a cat in my lap and one perched on my shoulder, I just have to wonder how someone could take pleasure in harming a cat.

I had a customer come in yesterday and tell me that someone dumped two kittens into his trash. Luckily they were still alive and bless his heart, he is feeding them and trying to find them homes.

It takes an evil person to do things like that. I send for Izzy and hope they find the "human" that did that.

I"m glad Izzy made it through surgery and I hope the person who did it gets caught. Too many crazy people out there with nothing better to do than torture animals.

I have Spring in front of me on the keyboard shelf and Sweetpea at my feet---and as I am reading this I find myself weeping.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?!?!?

Major vibes being sent--

As for the perp who did this

I was totally shocked to read about such horrible cruelty.
I have to agree with others here, this really sounds like the type of thing some idiot teenage boy would do.

Sending lots of Izzy's way!

I have spoke to my neighbours tonight and Izzy is home! They picked her up just after 6pm and Ian said she is doing ok and seemed very glad to be home, he said they have stitched up where they have removed her eye bless her but he said she seems in good spirits considering what she's been through. She has to go back to the vets thursday for a check up. Its not in the paper today I expect it will be tomorrow, I think I may contact the sun myself and raise the issue of my concern for other cats in the area, I haven't spoke to Penny as she was busy but at the end of the day I am a cat owner too, so I don't think she would mind.x

I hope someone took a photo of her in her injured state, and I'm sure any newspaper will want a current photo, after the surgery.

Photos will do what an article never would, just as the video of the woman putting the cat in the dust bin needed no commentary.

Excellent article Ruthy!!! Good, I'm glad it's getting into print!! Poor little Izzy. I hope she adjusts quickly. So the article says she was shot from above her head? I can't imagine a "human" standing over her and shooting her. I hate people...I pray someone comes forward and talks....
