This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...
This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

As of last night I have a new foster kitty, Bridge (he was rescued in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Bridgetown). He's a big fellow, who's FIV+, and very, very sweet. Sitting down is an invitation for him to be on your lap.
Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous hunk of love. And he has the personality to go with the chubbiness What do you know about his history?
From what I know he was part of TNR program at some point, then ended up living under the front porch of house. He was being beaten up by other neighborhood cats and scrounging for food. He has an injury to his right front leg that appears to be a bite combined with something that has caused an incomplete dislocation of his "wrist." The rescue's vet was initially considering amputation, but the leg has healed pretty well, just a little crooked. Bridge walks with a limp, but isn't in any pain and manages to get around and jump just fine.
Bridge is such a sweet, cuddly boy. It makes me sad that he had it so rough. It makes me grateful that there are people like you willing to give him a second chance. He can sit on my lap any time.
