Anyone get married in Vegas?

As you might have guessed from the subject line, my fiance and I are planning to get married in Vegas. But it is proving quite the headache to pick out a location when I've never even been there! Does anyone have suggestions for good places to consider, or places to avoid? We're not looking to spend more than $300-400.

So far, I'm leaning toward a gazebo wedding in the Shalimar. But the fact it's at a Howard Johnson's kinda throws me off, haha. The Grove looks gorgeous, and I love the idea of pictures in a place like that, but it seems rather expensive considering it doesn't even include a bouquet nor photographs.

A girl I work with got married in Vegas last spring. She loved it. It was a gazebo wedding, and a small bouquet was included in the price, along with a few pictures. You could upgrade the bouquet to something larger for an extra price.

The wedding was air via live video so that those who could not attend could still see it live. From what I saw, the video feed was terrible. And you couldn't hear much of anything either.

However, she also said that she felt rushed. The ceremony was very short and to the point.

I don't know what website you were looking at, but the link to the one she gave us to view the video had a very bad Elvis Impersonator standing in the chapel area telling people that if they are seeing him, the wedding has not started yet and to come back later.

My parents got married at the Chapel Of The Bells.

Their package prices are very affordable.

I want to get married when bf and I take our trip to vegas in 2012. I just want it as cheesey as possible like getting married by an elvis impersonator lol.

That's what I first wanted to do, but they closed down the Star Trek Experience.

If your going soon I have used lastminutetravel.com (and those similar) where you can get an all inclusive deal (air, hotel, etc...). I'd be willing to bet they'd have some kind of wedding package as well. Very smart, I love when folks do it for themselves, not everyone else! :-)

We've got our flight and hotel booked already. (At the Monte Carlo, in a room that's slightly bigger than our apartment ) I'm just all indecisive on the chapel. Thanks for the input guys. Maybe I'll make up my mind someday!
