Hi there, my four month old male kitten has been vomiting quite a bit. At first he had worms when he was throwing up, we assumed thats why he was vomiting. We got dewormer and the worms in the vomiting stopped. The vomiting however hasn't. Yesterday he threw up three times. We keep dry feed in his bowl all day. Could he be overeating? Or perhaps the food isn't right for him? He is a long haired cat, but when we see the vomit it seems to just be his cat food.

Any advice would be great

Hello and welcome to TCS. Your first move should be to take your kitten to the vet. I hope you got the de-wormer from the vet, if you used an OTC de wormer get him to the vet even quicker.

Is the vomiting not too long after he has eaten? Does the vomit consist of whole food, not really digested?? It could be possible he is just eating to quickly and swallowing too much food at once if it is food being thrown up. If this is the case try feeding him on a flatter surface, like a plate, smaller amounts more frequently. This will help prevent him from eating too quickly and throwing it up shortly after. A larger kibble can help too. I know kitten food is typically smaller but there are some out there that may have a larger kibble.

If the eating quickly isn't the issue then definitely check with your vet. All that vomiting could lead to dehydration. Especially he also isn't keeping water down.

Good luck! I hope he stops soon!
