My wonderful new cat Emma!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to introduce you to my wonderful new cat Emma. I went to the local shelter last week, and was originally looking at getting a kitten. I went into the adult cat room though, and took one look at Emma and was sold. She sat on her top perch and looked at me, I went over to her and she nudged me with her head, I started to rub under her chin and she rolled over on her belly and let me rub and scratch her. That was Saturday of last week, I took her home Tuesday. She is a 2 year old short hair domestic, who is so effectionate. She is like my shadow. She always wants to be around me, she sleeps at my feet on the couch, or if I'm in the bed she comes up and cuddles by my stomach. She wakes me in the morning with a playful nudge. It's just an awesome feeling to have such a great cat. She loves other people. I had some company over the other night and she went right up to them and sat in their lap and played with them. She just seems so happy and content, I'm so glad to have her in my home.

Oh, Emma is a real sweet girl! She is so lucky to have found you and you her.

While all cats need homes from the shelter, you are a special person to have taken an adult cat. They so often get overlooked and they are so in need of a good home.

From the looks of it, Emma has found hers.

She is lovely congrats! Sounds like she chose you which is always good.

Oh, she's beautiful - and thank you for adopting an adult cat. They're often passed over. But my experience has been that an adopted adult is full of love and somehow, I think, even more appreciative of their forever home.

What a beautiful girl! No wonder it was love at first sight! I too want to thank you for adopting an adult. Being a foster parent for the local shelter, I ofen see the kittens find homes in no time but have a heck of a time with the adult.

Congratulations on being Chosen by Emma, and recognizing it. She's a beautiful girl, may have have many happy years together.

Thanks for adopting an adult shelter cat. I've had my Gracie for about a year and she's been wonderful. (Same story, but I was looking for an older cat. She picked me out as well.)
