Wasn't sure where to put this but thought I would share a little story about my little kismet and I.

So - he sleeps with me and generally this means on my chest but right up on my neck under my chin. He wakes me about 100 times a night turning around but he purrs all night long sleeping there so I deal with it.

Well - he like every other cat out there - decides when it is wakeup time!

He is sick right now and has super snotty nose and he uses this to his advantage.......

First I hear "mrow" "purr purr purrrrrr" then My hand gets a headbut... I move it on top of his head. "Mrow, purr purr purr"... but when he sees that mama isn't getting any closer to being awake out come the big guns.

Kismet will come up to my face and wipe his snotty nose all over me! LOL my nose, lips and cheeks covered in a trail of slime as he "marks" me. He loves to mark me but first thing in the morning his snotty nose is on full blast drip. This of course makes me turn my head and wipe my face off - which earns MORE purring and MORE snotty smothering

I turn my head back and forth and still he persists..... then I feel little love bites. Nostril, Lip or ear... which makes me giggle and turn my head away.

THEN? yea... I feel a TONGUE up my nose. That is the point I grab him with both hands and rough him up a bit while laughing... all the while him purring away.

Little turd.

SO TODAY? I decided to cover my face with my blankie to see what he would do. He pawed a bit then flopped across my face on his back... then? somehow? on his back? he managed to WORK his SNOTTY NOSE under my blanket and leave a slug trail on my forehead!

That was it, he won. We got up. Little turd. HE KNOWS when he does it that I wake up without fail. It's gross but cute and funny as heck. I can't wait till snotty nose is gone and our morning goofies are once again DRY! I love our morning wake up games but the boogers have got to go!

Oh yea and he is waking me up at 3:30 am...... *sigh* once he is healthy? that will stop. I will keep him awake in the daytime, tire him out and then if he STILL wakes me at 3 am I will put him in his room till 5 am on his own. I feel mean doing that but I am so seriously sleep deprived! It doesn't matter when we go to bed or how hard we play he is up by 3 am.

I get daily and nightly bed massages from Leo, my Maine Coon. And drooling. He hops on me as soon as I get to bed, laying across my belly or side, and then massages me--which actually feels kind of nice, but then he starts drooling all over me and the covers, if I don't push his head aside fast enough. I'll be laying on my belly, asleep in the middle of the night, and he is massaging my shoulders and licking me. I like the massaging, but HATE the drooling and licking! One night, I was dreaming that DH was lovingly massaging my shoulders and kissing me (not that he would, LOL)--and it was the darned cat!

Butzie knows when I sort of wake up. I get up to go to the bathroom at night at about 3 am. She follows me into the bathroom and then wants loving. 5 or 6 in the am and she is ready to eat but I am not ready to get up. But I do and try to go back to sleep. Hah! After eating she wants loving. Who runs whom here? lol

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
OK, the slime trail is a new one on me!
What a little character you've got there!

Our little Flowerbelle is deaf, and though she's not mute, she "talks" with her paw. She loves to wake me up with a paw in the eye.
If I ignore her and pull the pillow over my head or the blanket over my head, she always figures a way in there.

That is such a cute story. Daisy woke me up twice last week...she was on my nightstand chattering at the birds outside.

hhahahahahahah omg that is too funny!! Yea, I can't wait till his nose stops dripping all over. I am pretty sure he was drooling on me today - either that or his boogers were flowing like water
I don't mine slobber nearly as much as I mind boogies!

hahahahaha yea he really is a goof. Lastnight he had to sleep in his room by himself cuz he couldn't settle down and kept getting into trouble.
LOL @ paw in the eye
I get it in the mouth or ear or cheek or chin.

LOL awww cuteeee! My guy so far seems to ignore everything out the window. Could be because he is sick, we will see in a week or two.

bwahahah ya I am trying not to reward him for waking me up early, at the same time I like HOW he wakes me, just not at what hour. I dunno how to fix that. I tried today to keep him awake more in the day but he is still sick and wanting his sleep so I have to just wait till he is feeling better and pester him and keep him awake so he is tired at night.
