Showing an Alter and Whole Cat together

Should I just do a wait and see how they react together or any tips?

Jack is neutered and Zorro will be evetually. When we get him as a kitten, he will be shown with Jack in the same cage - no problem. But a bit concerned when he is older (Zorro). We get to keep him whole for awhile and show in championship first before altering him.

This means he could be 9-11 months old when altered. I'm hoping they will still get along ok in the show cage where we are benched w/o having to keep them "separated".

Any one have experience with whole males and alter males in the same show cage?

It is hard to predict how a whole male might react to having to share a double space with another cat. Some are fine, but others get revved up by all the smells and sounds in the showhall. They might start to practice breeding on their friend in the benching area. Even if the whole cat is fine with sharing their space, the alter might be set off by some unknown cues and become grumpy in the judging ring. They'll probably be fine at first, and they'll both be sure to let you know if and when they each need their own space.
