I text quite quickly, so is it just the same on the touch screen once you get used to it?

I'm swaying definitely towards an Iphone now i think?!

Yes I find it easier, all the keys are in the same place its just you don't have fiddly buttons and they are bigger on mine so its easier. I had to use hubbys phone the other day to text his mum back and he has a keypad phone and I gave up, it was so difficult. I love my phone

Does it have the usual things on like an alarm, and can i bluetooth the ringtone i have on the phone i have now?.

Someone also said to check on the unlimited internet as it usually isn't the case. Obviously if i was on it 5 hours a day i can understand them wanting to put a charge on, but i wondered how many hours you usually get?

I got the iPhone 4 and it is awesome! I would never have anything else. But I'm also a MacBook Pro convert. Apple rocks!

It depends on the provider! READ THE FINE PRINT! I can't stress thatg enough to you. The coolest phone is the world is gonna suck if you get jipped by the company in overages and stupid charges they sneak on.

My plan is truely unlimited data thru my phone so for stupid little stuff rather than waste my netbook usage ill use the cell. My netbooks are my tv so I don't use them for basic web surfing.

I have played with an iphone, and its okay but I would rather go with something else. I currently have a LG Xenon, but its not a smart phone, and I really need one now! But ATT and their new data platform payment options dont cut it for me! If I'm paying that much for their data, I dont want to be constantly monitoring myself with how much I am using. I use my internet on my phone now A LOT so I'm sure it will only get worse with a smart phone! So after Feb. I am dropping ATT after 6 years with them... oh well! I wont miss them!
The Beau has a Droid X and I am in love with it! I LOVE texting on it, because it has swipe. Swipe is a program that lets you slide to the keys and then it figures out the word and types it. Kind of like predictive texting. It was also the program used to break the world record for fasting texting. And Android has more of the apps (in fact they have a lot more free ones!) than the iphone store does I believe! Including an oh so lovely alarm clock app that we have that makes you solve 2 math problems to snooze and 3 to turn it off... math is rather hard first thing when you wake up!!
I have played with some BB in the past, but they just dont seem as user friendly I guess? Just like there wasnt as much you could do to make them cater to your likes.

It took me a few days to get used to the sensitivity of the touch screen, but now I can easily text twice as fast as I could on any other phone. And on another positive note, whatever question you have, there's probably an app for that

I have had both an iPhone and a Nexus One which runs Android, and I found them pretty similar. The iPhone had some nicer things, but the Android had other things that are nicer. With my Google account I have gmail, calendar, reader, and talk, and they all sync so well on the Android platform.

One thing I really like about Android over iPhone (I don't know if they fixed this), is the ability to run multiple applications at once. So I can have google talk running constantly, and people can IM me (rather than send a text message), and I can get it anytime. I can have Google Maps navigation running, get an IM, check that, update my baby tracker app with when Zoe woke up, and my navigation is still going
I use my phone rather than a GPS now because Google Maps is awesome.

Before with the iPhone, I would have to have the phone on and be in the Google Talk client to be able to IM with DH, which made it pretty much useless for me.

I love my Blackberry Tour. It loads pretty quickly for a phone, love free BBM to other BB users, and never had a problem with it. I'm going to be sad when it stops working. I was thinking about a Droid, since the new Blackberries dont come with a track ball (I LOVE my track ball), but I dont know now.

My TL has been pushing his Droid Incredible on all of us, and him AND another guy at work both had to get new phones in the last week because theirs have been acting up - resetting, deleting things, and canceling internet connection without reconnecting.

Hubby's cousin had an iPhone and let me mess around with it and I hated it. The touch screen was a pain in the butt, though I'm not a fan of touch screens as it is. She had some problems with hers, not sure if she has it anymore or not. She dropped it in the hot tub back in January
It DID work a few days later after some sitting in rice, but never was bright again.

Everything Ive read about the IPhone is that what qualifies it to be a fast and speedy little phone is the fact that it will NOT run multiple applications. As far as I know they have not changed that aspect. I personally will be a Droid user as long as they keep updating their technology to stay user friendly and speedy like it is. My problems lie within the phone itself not the software that it runs.

BTW LOVE LOVE LOVE Google Maps it has gotten me a lot of places not to mention it gives me like 20 different options so if I know how to go part way it will adjust itself to where Im going. I cant get enough of it haha. I never played with anything like google talk and stuff like that. I only got the gmail account because it was easier to to just change the few things that got emailed to me than it was to hope and pray that my yahoo account would sync up.

I would get an Iphone if I could. I am so sick of blackberry! Apple's technology is so far beyond blackberry, that I don't think RIM will ever catch up. The browser on the BB sucks.. Safari browser on the Iphone is WAY better. My MIL has an Iphone and she is no techy and she absolutely loves hers. She lets me play with it as much as I want. LOL! I have an Ipod Touch with wifi access and I use it all the time to send emails. I have no problem typing with the touch screen, I'm just as quick with that as I am with BB buttons.

Blackberry has a Facebook app but it sucks.

You can't play any FB games on the BB. Farmville is way to graphic intense for a blackberry. They just are just not that up to date.

I'm sure there's an app for that in the Apple app store. There is literally an app for everything.

I can't understand why Blackerries get called Crackberries, when everyone I talk to who has one hates it

I loved the buttons for the Curve but the software...Ugh its like being stuck with an old nokia flip phone with the first ever color screen. That is how far behind RIM is compared to Apple and Droid.
