stage fright?

My 1 and a half year old cat has been getting used to my new kitten, 2 - 3 months for the past week, but my kitten is very "aggressive" in following my other cat. Well, this persisted into my kitten following my cat into the hall closet where the big litter box is. He waited about 10 seconds, then ran right in after him. I wasn't paying really close attention, so I don't know if my older cat ran away right away or not. That was yesterday.

Now today, my roommate tells me he found a piece of cat poo in the middle of his floor. I'm pretty sure it was my older cat, since the kitten has had soft stools since he arrived, and it was a normal looking piece on his floor.

My question is, did my cat just get stage fright or feel uncomfortable in front of the kitten or something? The kitten almost never goes in my roommate's room, so is that where he felt safest doing his business?

If it was only 1 piece, he prob didnt do his poo there. Doing poo they produce 3-6 pieces typically. Most probable is, 1 piece hanged on by a hair on his behind, and happened to fell off in your rooms-mates room. Or, he actively managed to shake it off. In this later case, look out, there may be traces....
If they notice something hangs on their behind, they got almost panicked, and try everything to take it off...

Our boys, are not only handsome, they are also very well behaving, and always using the litter as soon there is a need, not forgetting washing and cleaning either. But such mentioned above does happens now and then. So almost twice a year we do find a little short sausage, and or traces, somewhere on the floors.
