And yes- he is. He had a stroke several years back. I saw him the year he did the countdown. Though it was amazing that he went back onto TV after having a stroke- it was just sad
He messed up the countdown, and you could tell he just isn't what he used to be.

Pretty sure he is alive, too.
According to IMDb, he is still alive and they are far more reliable than wiki. He is listed as exec producer of Dick Clark's Rockin New Years for last New Year's Eve. At any rate, it will be big news when he dies. Same as with Barbara Billingsley and Tom Bosley
I've found a really weird site, Dead or Alive Info, which says he's alive.
