RIP Fatman 2004-2010

I cant even call you my baby because you were the grumpiest old man Ive ever met in my life. You were bossy and cantakerous but by God I loved you. You were my big fat tubby butt and not afraid to let people know when you were mad, sad, happy or just felt like being a turd. You opened your daddys heart to the love a cat can bring.

I remember your first night in the apartment we had. All night yowling and howling, under the covers, over the covers, walking across the pillows and just being a pest. The first two weeks you spent your time sleeping under the blankets of the bed like a lump. When you finally started coming out of your shell we got to see the true colors. You knew who was in charge...you. I remember you and daddy sitting at the kitchen table eating Oreos together...you even got your own glass of milk. Or how about the time that I came home from work and daddy gave you raviolis..your paws and chin were orange for a week after that.

I remember how you and Hercules would terrorize each other but I knew that deep down you loved each other more than anything in the entire world. How you laid with Herc when he got fixed or how he laid with you when you had to go to the vet last year.

I dont know if you noticed but both GiGi and Hercules loved you till the end. They slept with you all night long. We all love you so much Fatman, especially daddy. You were his heart kitty, you were the patriarch of this family even daddy wasnt a bigger boss than you. We will miss you forever and there will never be another Fatman. Your mommy and daddy love you so much big guy, I am so sorry we couldnt fix you but we knew you wanted to pass quietly at home with all of us here with you...even that evil monster Max.

We love you Fatman forever and always. Play happily and carefree across the bridge...P.S. Dont boss those other kitties around too much, let them show you the ropes atleast and where all the good nip is. Im sure there are plenty of Auntie Em toys around for you to share.

I want to share some of my favorite pictures of Fatman.

We love you Fatman, forever and ever.

Thank you everyone.....

Elicon- Please let Claire know that Fatman thought she was the prettiest kitty on Valentines Day and he always treasured their date.

Chaz and I are going to make a little tribute for Fatman out of the pictures we have of him. Im going to load them onto a memory card and get them printed out and then we will get a picture frame to put the in and hang it in the living room so we always can see him and his grumpy yet happy face. I miss my big guy so much. I cant walk past the cat room because everytime I used to he would yowl at me for some pets and scritches or a playtime with his catnip buddies. I cant even go pee without crying because I remember the time we caught him drinking out of the toilet, or the picture Chaz sent me of Fatman laying in his pants. Its only been a couple hours but it feels like forever has passed.

I'm so sorry about Fatman, I didn't want to read that it happened..

He's resting now though, feeling better, heck he might even be purring?? Nah, he'll still be growling away, acting as tough as ever, with endless pasta bowls all to himself.. You will be missed, precious Fatman..

Thank you...all of you for everything. The whole house seems just a little less full now without Fatman. Hercules and Gigi are clinging to us right now and Hercules especially seems just so down and sad, his eyes just dont have that mischevious sparkle anymore. Even Max and Franklin keep going into the closet looking for Fatman and he isnt there anymore to growl and yell at the dogs.

I know things will get easier as time goes on, we just keep thinking that he is happy and painfree right now...Probably not sharing his raviolis or oreos with anyone else across the bridge but Im sure his tubbyness is making it known that he was a bossman and must be treated as such. We just miss him and so do the few people that we are close to. Fatman was the favorite for everyone, sharing whoppers and big macs with Chazs brother, stealing pizza off his step brothers plate...while he was holding it...even stealing Franklins dog food when it suited him. He will be missed so much but it helps knowing that if Im feeling a little down and out I have you guys who understand what Im feeling and Im not just a crazy cat lady here...We all are..Thank you so much having you guys has made this just a little easier for me to handle.
