Head shaking

Thread Starter
My cat shakes her head very aggressively throughout the day, and everytime after I touch her head. It seems like there's something wrong with her ears. What would you attribute this head shaking to?

Cheers,

Probably an ear infection or ear mites. A vet visit is in order. Will she let you look into her ears? If so, can you see any brown gunk or redness or anything?

Hello and welcome to TCS.

If you think there is something wrong with her ears, please take her to the vet. This may even have something to do with your other problem you posted about. Ear problems are very uncomfortable for kitty and only get worse. And left untreated too long, the cat can be left with a lifetime of chronic problems, or deafness. If she can't hear, that might explain why she talks so much. (of course as I said in your other thread it may just be that she is a talky cat, but this puts a different light on it)

I know, I have a kitty like that. When I rescued Mazy she had a terrible infection in both ears, there's no telling how long she had it. Because of that she has chronic problems, that come and go and need treatment when they show up.
