As I mentioned in one other thread on this site, there is an urgent situation involving American Curls. Angels are needed

The chairperson for my group, the American Curl Rescue Project had a stroke, and her husband requested we help him place the cats, so he can devote all his time to her further recovery, when she comes home in an estimated 8 to 9 weeks.

Here is our website detailing ages/names/colors of available Curls - and two domestics, (some are being fostered in Ohio now, others are in Pennsylvania)

http://www.americancurlrescue.com/needhome.html

This page will be updated daily when needed. We are working to keep co-ordination of leads etc. going well, and many folks are stepping up to foster or offer help with vet/transportation costs but bottom line, we need good adoptive homes, and even more folks with no-kill rescue groups who can foster, so all can be out of the home asap.

This is a wonderful breed - I've had 17 years of experience with them, I can't say enough about them - and I have good breed information on the site or you can write to me privately if you want more information,

Thank you in advance if the time is right for you to adopt, or if your group can help,

I just wanted to update all of you. All the Curls have been taken into foster care, and are being care for by a number of groups in several different states. The response to our request for help has been wonderful.

Some of the Curls now have pix and descriptions up on petfinder.org...and there will be pix up tomorrow, (currently there are descriptions) atAmericancurlrescue.com

I live in Georgia, but I might be looking for a new kitty friend for Luna . . . is your organization through-out multiple states, or is it strictly in Ohio or PA (I couldn't figure out where they came from)?

Hi,
We are a tiny group spread out over the US. Some of the Curls from our large recent rescue are now with other rescue/foster groups in other states, including North Carolina. Others will be adopted out from the Ohio area. The two listed on the site in CA will be,if the foster group taking them needs, advertised on our site. We try to connect folks with Curls needing new homes, and when we can, a group member will foster.

We can do an adoption application with you and put you on a waiting list for any future rescue in your area, if you wish. If so, pm me.

Hi Ken,

Yes they would sadly. Rose served as chairperson for the acrp for several years, doing potential home phone interviews, shelter calls, and was working on obtaining a 501C status for the group. She did not do foster work for the group.

Did you know her from AACE?

ps my alix p curl was shown as a kitten in aace way back in 93 or early '94...talk about a mouthy kitten who as she sassed the judges was busy prancing and waving her tail <G>.

As a matter of fact I do know her from AACE as well as her husband doug. Although i haven't seen them in ages, since his auto accident, and only found out last month about her stroke. Im glad that her curls are being placed.
