I Need To Know

Our house is mostly all tile except for one office that doubles as a store room. We keep that door shut because if cats got in there we would never find them. Our bedroom is wall to wall carpet. Other than that, we have throw rugs. Well, two of the throw rugs are those 6'x9' braided type ovals.

We have one cat (Sam) that loves to puke. I will swear she smiles when she's done. Anyway, she will make it to one of the throw rugs to leave a trophy. She has all the tile to use, but has to have a throw rug.

She does not use our bed, or bedroom carpet. Pray tell, why in tarnation does she do that?

I can't tell you why, but we have the same situation. All tile floors, with rugs under the dining room table, under the coffee table, hall runner, etc., and ALWAYS, the cats throw up on a rug . Even in the kitchen, where I just have 2 little rugs, one in front of the sink and one in front of the oven...they always head for those! Maybe they need traction or something

They're trying to remind you that you're the slave and they are the master/mistress of the house.

Mazy's personal best is the carpet, two freshly washed throw rugs and the side of the upholstered chair, all in one heave.

My place is MOSTLY carpet so they have gotten it good. Thank heavens for Bissel's Little Green Machine!

Cable does something similar... when i was living in my house, the only carpeted/rug areas were at exterior doorways & the main litterbox closet. she always chose the litterbox closet.
now that i'm renting a place that's mostly carpeted, she still usually chooses the carpeted area. litterbox area is tiled, but she'll upchuck right outside it on the hall carpet.
i've decided it feels like grass, or something.

Ootay always vomited in the litter box. She was always such a meticulous girlie.
