Hello from East Coast U.S.

Hi Folks -

I recently adopted my first cat from the shelter about 9 months ago in January. I found her adoption bio online, as my local county shelter features each of their animals on their website.

She is a senior cat, about 13½ yrs, and her name is Sheba. She had been at the shelter since October the previous year, and the volunteers said she had probably been overlooked due to her age and potential health problems. Everyone else's oversight is our gain... She has quickly become a member of the family!

I came across this forum while researching health topics. As Sheba is the first cat I've ever had, I'm looking forward to learning more from the wisdom of others, sharing what [little] knowledge that I have to offer, and contributing to the forum community.

Below please find a few photos of her. (In case anyone's wondering, she didn't get to eat any of the spiced shrimp)

Thanks,

CheetahCats

WELCOME to you and Sheba!! She is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for adopting a shelter cat that is a senior kitty!! Older cats are often overlooked when most people prefer kittens. I had an older cat, Bella, that changed my life. You will enjoy TCS and learn a great deal about cats!! Thanks for the wonderful pics!!
