Tonight I find myself missing Chynna. She went to the RB on July 3, 2010. I miss her every day, but for some reason tonight seems exceptionally teary.

I watched this video that was linked in another thread, and he reminded me so much of Chynna in his mannerisms. Chynna didn't meow all that much, but she loved to get face rubs and would give me kisses all of the time.

So yeah! I'm missing my baby girl. I think Abby knows because she has been spending extra time climbing all over me this evening.

Here... or There... Hmmm
I'm so sorry honey, spend some extra cuddle time with Abby to keep your spirits up as much as possible. There will always be rough days but try and remember all the great times you had with Chynna!

Aw, I know how you feel. You think you are doing good and then the tears flow.

It will level off, this rollercoaster. It's just getting to that point that is the hardest.

Love on your Abby, and give thanks that Chynna was in your life, and still is just over there, waiting with all of our RB kitties, playing in the sun.

She was a big part of your life for so long that a sudden flare-up of your grief isn't surprising. There will probably always be times when a certain sight, smell, sound, etc., will make you think of her, and miss her acutely. They never leave our hearts. Let Abby console you, and cherish your recollections of Chynna.

Linda, she was such a huge part of your life for soo long, it's no wonder you're missing your beautiful little angel!
I've found that one of the positive sides of the grieving process is recalling all of the happy memoies that melt our hearts.
I'm sure you have countless memories of your beloved girl and the way her relationship with you touched your heart and made you smile.
I bet little Abby knows you need some extra love and attention right now!

I had a good cry last week when I went with my friend Abby to pick up a stray kitten that had wondered into the fire dpt. where her husband works (they're keeping him & I will get to see him often since we live in the same apartment complex!!) That little kitten's personality reminded me of my beloved rainbow bridge kitty, Tommy. When we brought him back to Abby's apartment, I did a little check-up on him and he was such a good little patient when I dewormed him and gave him some IV fluids (he was dehydrated)- it reminded me soo much of Tommy because Tommy was always such a good boy when I had to give him his IV fluids & meds for his CRF. The new little Kitten was cuddly, outgoing, vocal, and a major kisser too- just like my Tommy was
He reminded me soo much of Tommy; I went home that night and shed a few tears when I thought about how much I missed my sweet fella and how lucky I was to have him, even though my time with him was short
It's good to remember the good times and how happy our beloved kitties make us

I'm always here if you ever need to talk

Linda.
I don't think a day goes by yet that I don't cry a little for my Cotton. Chynna was such a big part of your life, it's not surprising that the grief sneaks up on you every now and then. It's so sweet that Abby's trying to help, though.

I know how grief can sneak up on you, believe me. It's OK to let the tears go--no matter how long it's been--there's no time limit on grieving...I hope you feel better. I'm sure Abbey is always willing to help you through this pain.

Sorry. Have a good cry if it helps. It has been a little over a year now but I still miss one of my past dogs every single day.

This just struck a chord with me, Linda. I haven't been on here as much as I used to be and missed that you lost her. I am so sorry for your loss and everyone else is right-- it hasn't really been all that long since you lost her and you will still have times that the grief will hit you hard. If you ever want to talk, PM me. I still get on here often enough to get messages.

I lost Ollie, my Pug, in February, and i still miss the goof every day and I still cry about him. I still have Pepper and Petunia and I adopted a puppy, but all of our animals are special and unique and I still miss him.
