Update on little neighbor kitty!

I posted earlier that this cat was back patrolling the neighborhood.

Well, ran into one of the other neighbors todaywho has been kind to Kitty and he told me that the story is this little fella was ABANDONED! That his so-called owners MOVED OUT recently and left him behind!!


Also, apparently, his name is Horace. He is soooooo sweet. This guy and his wife are thinking about taking him in, but they already have a cat and a new puppy!!
Plus the costs involved.

Neighbors have been looking after him... he is in good shape - coat and weight, but as I expressed earlier, worried with winter coming.

So this guy and I exchanged ph numbers... I am going to try to help him with low cost referrals for shots and vet care... to try to encourage him to take kitty!

Yep, aren't people just lovely? Complete low lifes to have left this poor kitty to face a Michigan winter.

I sure hope this guy takes the cat in. Now that you know about the cat, you can at least watch out for him.

for a good home for him. You are so kind to help.

The both of you are doing a wonderful thing. The couple who abandoned this kitty deserves some bad luck and I hope they get it.

Single mom with at least one teenage son. Since I met the cat, I have heard horror stories about them... including leaving their dog tied up in the courtyard of the condo day and night in all weather with no shelter, food or water. Poor baby had dug himself a hole to try to escape the heat. I guess Animal Control came out, but all they were told was to keep the dog inside. (It was a smaller dog).

He showed up tonight. Sigh.... The other cats were NOT happy to see him in the courtyard. Rex- whose fave past time is lounging on the sofa ... was a ball of tension, ears back, tail thrashing and rrrreeewwwwing.

I gave him some wet food and set up a carrier on the porch for him, blanket inside and heavy towel over the top, sprayed it with Feliway and tossed some treats in there. He wasn't very receptive to it, but maybe he will figure out that it is warm and out of the wind.

Well, I hope that the guy will take him with the help of vet costs and shots and what not. Keep up the good work and maybe someone will love him and give him a furr-ever home for good..

He hasn't been by since Monday evening... I am worried. I called the other neighbor and left a message hoping that kitty is hanging out with them.
