Just wanted to share a couple of pics of Lester (at least that's his name for now), a kitty I've been feeding in my neighborhood for two years. Trapped him early on and took him to the local spay/neuter clinic. The clinic deemed him feral, hence the eartip, but in talking to neighbors have found out he's a very scared abandoned pet. Until recently, Lester has wanted nothing to do with me. He came to eat most mornings and evenings, then left. Within the past couple of weeks he's started talking to me, coming closer, sniffing my hand and letting me pet him a bit. This week I heard him purr for the first time. He's still pretty jumpy, though, so will continue to work to earn his trust. A vet visit to get his shots updated is also in order. When/if he's ready, he can come inside and we'll go from there. These aren't the greatest pics, but you get the idea. He's a sweetie.
