post-neuter

I just got an 8 week old kitten who was in the shelter from monday through friday when I got him. He got neutered at some point in there, but they weren't specific about which day. The shelter workers said he should not run and jump too much for a while, because his sutures could come loose. He is a 2 month old kitten, how exactly do I stop him from running and jumping? Also, they weren't specific about how long to keep up this reduced load, so how long should I worry about his exertion level and his sutures?

My little boy (5.5 months old) was neutered on Wednesday and he's back to full steam already. I don't know that there's a way, other then confining them to a carrier or cage, that you can do to keep a 2 month old from running and jumping. I guess you could confine him to the bathroom for a few more days, but I really think he'll be fine.
