I might become a foster parent for a dog, probably around one, that I rescued and had picked up by the spca the other day. I cannot let them kill him, I will never forgive myself. You can hardly call that a rescue. He seems to be gentle, but when I went to see him, he seemed scared with all the barking gone on, and did not wag his tail, held it down, almost between his legs. The caretaker said this was a sign of agression????Really?? Anyway, if I have to, I will be a foster parent for this dog, and see if I can get the lab rescue involved (he is mostly black lab) or maybe end up having a dog.
Anyway, my two cats have only ever seen a dog out the window, and I don't know what to expect. What is the protocol for introducing cats to a timid, shy dog?
