I've been a cat lover since a young age, my late Grand Mother has had cats for as long as I can remember. There was this grey taby female (whose name I forget) that just loved me; she'd rub against my shins, let me rub her tummy and lie on her back on my lap...
I remember that cat chasing a family friend's dog around the kitchen table (yes the cat was chasing the dog!) and having a litter of kittens. Two of them stand out in my memory, one was this meek looking white kitten with orange and black spots and his bigger brother who had medium-length fur and a nice "Sylvester the cat" black and white coat.
The meek little one kept hanging around with his mother, whch at one point, irritated her so badly she hissed at the little one. The black and white big brother stepped closer, sat down between the Mom andthe kitten; looked at her and took a swing at her as if to say "Don't be mean to my little brother!"
The look on the queen's face was priceless, an almost "how dare you swat at your mother?" look; and she gave the black and white kitten an insulted hiss!
