I can't believe it

You know the people that came in and saw our house without permission? When our house was a mess (my underwear on the bathroom floor, dishes in the kitchen, etc)?

We just got a call from our agent and he said she is chomping at the bit to come see it again, and is on the verge of putting in an offer. She is a single mom with two teenage boys, and she wasn't bothered at all by the mess. *faint*

She is coming to see it again (at it's prettiest, this time) at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. Please, if you don't mind, send us some vibes that this is THE one!! Thanks!!

I'm glad for you and hope it comes to fruition.

Well she came by again today, this time with her brother. She LOVES the house and is ready to put in an offer, but her brother is being a PITA. We back up to one of the major roads in our town, but we are on the edge of town so it isn't TOO bad, if that makes sense. Just north of us it is 4 lanes for about 6 blocks, before and after a major intersection, but other than that it isn't 4 lanes until the other side of the city. No concerns about the house or even the road itself, but her brother is loosing his mind over the fact that they will eventually widen the road.

He is thoroughly convinced that they are going to take 8-10 FEET off of the back of the yard when they eventually do widen the road. Our agent (and we confirmed it) told her agent that the easements are already in place so the yard will not be touched. He's not convinced. *grumble* He's also freaking out wondering WHEN they plan to widen the road. When we moved in 4.5 years ago, they said it would be at LEAST 15 years before they widened it, there just isn't a need b/c the lack of businesses, and therefore traffic on this road. Even if they were staying completely on track (which anyone who knows anything about street planning knows how well that goes) it will be at least another 10 years before they widen. Mind you, her brother is from a small town according to his license plates (we drove past the house while they were looking at it) so he doesn't know too much about bigger city planning.

Our agent said that we most likely won't get an offer this weekend, but to not be surprised if we get one on Monday or Tuesday. He's still pretty certain that she wants our house. Hopefully he's right. Hopefully the buyer doesn't listen to her brother too much. haha He's not going to be the one living here anyway.

(Just in case, I went through and took a bunch of my own pictures of our house today, and they are MUCH better than the ones our agent took. If we switch agents...and even if we don't...I want to use my pictures instead.)
