I guess you had to be there...

Close. In one strip Steve is sitting between Opus and a middle-aged man who made a fortune writing a book bashing the rich in America and then saved $91,000 with Reagan's tax cut. At the end of the strip he grabs Steve and shakes him while crying out "What is a liberal to do?!".
In the other strip Opus is at the bar sitting between what appears to be a tough guy and a hippie. The tough guy tells Opus what he would do if he were president and it had to do with stopping war, and making sure everyone had enough education, food, and medical care. The hippie then pipes up and yells to love America and leave it and calls the guy a pinko as Opus is leaning over and saying something about not judging a book by its cover.
Bloom County is, and will always be, my favorite.
Anyway, I heard on the news on the way home from work that the Obama Administration is expected to appeal the judge's ruling about the policy.

From what I understand the appeal by the Justice Department is more of a procedural matter than anything else when it comes to challenges of legislation passed by Congress. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but thought that Congress was the only ones who could repeal the policy?
