I am watching House Hunters on tv and this guy is the whinest man I have ever seen and that is saying alot. He has looked at over a 100 houses and they are down to the last three and he finds little things to complain about like a paint color. It is not that hard to pick up a brush if you don't like a color. And I could deal with light pink. I love this channel though its interesting to see houses in different parts of the country. And condos as we don't have those.

I watch HH, too, and sometimes, I just want to smack some of these people up along side the head. Honestly, complaining about the paint color? If you like everything else about the house, buy the darn thing and repaint! If you don't like the carpet, save up some bucks and put different carpet down. A lot of the complaints are about cosmetic things....put your big girl or big boy pants on and deal with it.

The only night I was watching and this couple was on, looking for a larger house. Fine. The realtor kept showing them houses and they were always too small. The bedrooms were too small, the closets were too small. She finally showed them a huge house and....you guessed it. It was too big. "What am I going to do with that huge room?" DH and I started laughing about that one. A realtor does not have an easy job, that's for sure.

Some of those people complain about the tiniest little thing.

And how in the world do some of these people afford such expensive homes? Holy cow!

I do like the show....honest.

I love HGTV, much to DH's chagrin.
The things people complain about when they're looking for a house absolutely astounds me! When we bought our home, we had to re-do every single room. I simply could not live with celery green walls and woodwork. We saved a bundle, put our (ok, my) sweat-equity into it, and it's OUR home. (seriously, I wouldn't let my husband within 10 feet of a paintbrush
)

Yea, I'd like to know how they afford a villa in the south of France? They look like they are 10 years old sometimes.

It is fun to see other homes in other places, but having to suffer through the people who wouldn't know hammer if it hit them, ain't fun!

I watch HGTV almost every night because there is nothing on at 8pm sometimes. I like Property Virgins and My First Place. I just saw where a guy was 6'10" and most of the room entrances were too low for him. He couldn't find a house to fit him
They finally did but I think they should have built a house from scratch to fit around him, probably couldn't afford it tho.

Last night there was a man and his wife and the MIL looking to buy a home together, the MIL was going to live in a downstairs apt. and she moaned and groaned about how small some of the basement apartments were. The first mistake, you do not buy a home with your MIL, no way...big mistake. They finally found a place but the husband would have to practically rebuild the whole downstairs. I didn't like the MIL at all, she was a little witchy, I feel sorry for that couple.
