Poor baby! The weather has turned a little cooler here and he spends most of his time bundled up in his orca bed. He is the shortest haired DSH I think I've ever seen. And bless his heart, I like my house cold. When we do turn the heat on, he'll lay right next to a vent. There is a vent underneath our dresser and sometimes the only thing sticking out will be his backside.

Send him to my place.

I'm on the third floor and the lady underneath me keeps me very warm.
It's so warn in here now I think she has the heat on already.

They make kitty/small dog sweaters, maybe you could find one for him
/ They also sell self-warming pet beds at most pet stores too! I bet he'd love that!

Yes, it's really chilly around here, too. The furkids are seeking any heat they can find at this point. As soon as we get up from the couch, they're getting right into our position.....such little heat-seekers they are.

I understand Speck!
I'm always cold too! So is my poor little Cleo II, she's always looking for a heat source. Also, during the colder months, she becomes a lot more friendly with Shadey and cuddles into his long fur.

What's an Orca bed, is it one of those hooded beds?
A very talented TCS member (Tortiebaby) posted the Orca bed in the members' marketplace. She made it herself and I bought it for Speck. The mouth doesn't really stand open very far, so it's kind of like a whale sleeping bag. A first he wanted no part of it; now he and the whale are inseparable.

I've been trying without success to post a picture of the Orca bed. But if you search the word Orca through the TCS search, there is a picture of it under the heading of Giant-Orca shaped cat bed.

I like my home cool also, anyway it's too early to turn on the heat. It's in the 60's in my place right now and that's warm enough for me. Heat would suffocate me right now and Autumn seems to like the way it is in here also. There will be plenty of time for the heat to be turned on when it gets to the 40's and 30's, maybe then I'll turn on the heat.

Butzie and I have the opposite problem in the summer. She is a DMH and my little apt. doesn't have a/c. Summers can be quite warm, in the 100's, but this summer saw little temps above the high '80s. Right now we are having an Indian summer, in the low '90's. Winters are not very cold and we do heat so we will be okay.

I gave a few minutes ago and turned on the heat. Just to knock away the chill. Speck heard it come on and has left the room. I bet he's looking for a good heat source.
