And so I cried.

I took the roll of film from the camera and took it to the drugstore today. I had waited and waited to deal with it. You see, I knew the last pictures of my Speedboat were on this film. It is so amazing that the was so near death and you can't tell it by these pictures. Now I am hurting even though it has been since January. Maybe I should have waited to develop these pictures.

I still get tears in my eyes when I look at pictures of my rainbow bridge furbabies. Especially the ones who were special needs and had to be pts to end their suffering. When I look at the last pictures of them, I am reminded how fragile and ill they were and it breaks my heart. I know I put them down while they still had their dignity and before they suffered even more, but it still brings back those tough memories. I understand what you're going through
It is hard and one of the most difficult things that comes with being a pet owner. It sounds to me like you have a huge, loving heart and knew what was best for your beloved furbaby so that he didn't suffer any more.
It's ok to mourn the loss and shed tears...it's also good to remember their better days and how much love you shared with them as well...that helps heal up those tears

Ahh I know how you feel
, What I do and I know it helps me, in my study I have loads and loads of framed photos on the wall of all the ones I have loved and lost including my late husband John, I often chat to them all and somehow it keeps them nearer to me

Oh sweetie I'm sorry. I have a roll of film that's three years old in my drawer right now that I know has photos of my RB kitty Little Man Tate on it. It's very hard I know--but it's OK to cry. Cry as much as you need to; our RB kitties are worth it...

I know what you mean.
I haven't downloaded anything from my camera since I lost Cotton because I know I have pics of him in there and I'm not ready to face it yet.

I completely understand sweetie...
Look at those pictures and try to remember the GOOD times that you had with Speedboat.

I have pictures of my Rainbow Angel Misty on the walls in the hallway, also have a couple of pics of her on my fridge, I never want to forget her and I like seeing her photo's around the house. She took a piece of my heart with her when she left me and I feel that pain every day.
