I came in from work yesteray and I fed Pixie and cleaned her litterbox. Well when I woke up I simply got ready for work and left because I had worked late yesterday and my sister had been over and her and the kids were really loud and I didn't sleep well. Well this morning I came in and we went to walmart and didn't get home till up in the day and I then noticed I hadn't seen Pixie since last night but since the kids had been over I had assumed she was under my bed. Well I go downstairs and she is hiding under the couch in the basement but the door to the bathroom where her litterbox is was closed and she couldn't get to her litterbox. There is no telling how long she was closed off from her litterbox. So I checked and I see any places or smell any accidents but apparently the family thinks that would have been her fault even though she couldn't get to the litterbox. My sister is bad about doing stuff like that she used to shut the door where tavia's litter box was all the time. And she lets her kids get into everything. My niece had even been playing with my laptop while I was at work. This is really annoying but the worst is if Pixie would have had an accident dad would have blamed her and not whoever shut that door.

Oh, poor little Pixie! And poor you.
At least there were no accidents.

I hope you're able to save up to move out soon.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry! It's just such a frustrating situation! You (and Pixie) deserve better! Any idea how much longer you're going to have to suffer this?

I know the idea of moving out on your own is probably just as scary as it is exciting, but with Pixie with you, it won't be so lonely. And you'll be able to start a whole new chapter of a healthier, happier life!

That sucks! I feel your pain! We had our bedroom door get shut by the wind with both cats stuck in the bedroom for who knows how long!
We can have issues with the bathroom getting closed here too, but its simply a lot of people just keep their bathroom doors shut or just arent in the habit of making sure they are open! We keep a flip flop in ours to keep it cracked and to kind of remind people to leave it cracked for the kitties!
Also for the laptop, you should put a password on it. I had a friend that would always start playing with mine and ended up screwing up some of my settings so I put a password on it so no one could get on it!

It will be about the beginning of the year before I can get a car and then however long it takes to find a place after that. And I hope it doesn't take too long after that.

My bedroom door swings closed on its own, and could trap a kitty inside. I solved the problem by getting one of those over-the-door multiple-hook devices and sewing two short loops of yarn on a large pillow. Hooking the pillow on two of the clothing hooks makes it hang straight, and I spaced the loops so the pillow sticks out beyond the edge of the door.

When I want to close the door, I swing the pillow to the inside of the room, and it doesn't interfere -- but when I want to be sure the door stays open a few inches for kitty access, I swing the pillow up over the top so it hangs on the outside of the door, and since it sticks out beyond the edge, it keeps the door from closing.

Did that explanation make any sense at all?
What I was thinking is that you might use something similar to help guests remember that the litterbox bathroom door should be left open. You could even use a laundry marker to write a stern note on the pillow!
