~I just realized that I posted this in the wrong section! Would one of you lovely mods mind moving this to Pet Pics instead? Thankyou!

I'm a little lax on posting pictures lately and I realized that I need to post some pictures of my sweet new addition, Macy! I adopted her at the end of August from the Humane Society; She is around 2.5-3 years old and I think she's a mix of a few mixes. (I did recently get a Wisdom Panel Dog DNA test to see what shes mixed with since she's special needs...hopefully I'll figure out how to best help her based on her breed x's!). As of right now we think she's a mix of a Lab, Shepherd, Border Collie, and maybe Chow or Dobie...who knows! Whatever she is, she's a perfect match for us and couldn't be a more sweet, loving girl!

Macy's old name was "Chanel". She sat there at the Humane Society for over two years, completly unnoticed. Not only was she just "another black lab x" among a myrid of many others, she was also in a cage in the very back of the shelter and had a list of health issues about a mile long.I'm glad the staff there saw something special about her and didn't give up on here- I feel soo blessed that I was able to adpot her! She is a special needs girl and has some serious health issues going on with her little heart. Her life expectancy is around 1-2 years according to the vet, but I didn't care. Whether I'm blessed with her for one month or 10 years, this sweet girl is a blessing and has already added soo much to my life as well as my other dogs life! Not only was she a perfect match for me and my needs (I have heart issues too, so I had a soft spot for her), she is also an amazing companion for my other dog, Ranger. Macy had never been in a home before I adopted her, so she has really come a long way! At first everything was new- every beep of the microwave, every toilet flush, loading the dishwasher, wearing a harness/leash...everything was new! Macy has made leaps and bounds though and has done soo well! She is in class right now and learning her basic commands as welll as how to socialize with other dogs/people. Ranger has been a wonderful resource for her as well because his happy-go-lucky attitude has shown Macy what not to worry about.
She couldn't be a more loved little girl!!

Here are a few pictures of my Macy Grace!:

Look at those satellite dish ears! I love them! She moves them around everytime she's curious about a noise or something haha...

Look it's dumbo!
I've always been a sucker for the ears - big/pointer ears or pointy/shepherd ears!

I saw the pictures on FB, but I didn't realize she'd never been in a home before, did she come to the shelter as a puppy?

Oh I know I love her ears!!!
She's always tilting her head to the side and moving her ears around when I talk to her or she hears a noise- it's adorable!!

Macy came into the Humane Society as a puppy (just a stray wondering around). She got adopted for a half of a day when she was younger (not sure of the exact date) and the family that adopted her took her to their vet after leaving the Humane Society...their vet told them that she had all of these heart issues and wouldn't live long so she wasn't worth keeping. So the jerks took her back the same day. Poor little girl sat at the shelter for 2 yrs before I adopted her. She had never been in a home, or really a car ride, or anything...everything freaked her out. Thankfully, between her classes, frequent trips to pet stores/etc, and Ranger's happy-go-lucky personality, Macy is doing soooo well and really comming out of her shell!
She used to always have her ears down and her tail tucked in submission...now she has a happy tail and happy ears wherever she goes!
