...and especially the Italian Americans out there. We should be proud and I am.

The title should say Happy Columbus Day to all...

Happy Columbus Day! (even though, well, didn't he land in the Bahamas??? So not sure why the USA decided it's a holiday..
)

BF has off work today, so we are painting our white bathroom green!

I have school tonight still though. That's ok.

Happy Columbus Day!

Wishing I worked for a government office or contractor today so I could have had the day off
No wonder traffic was so light this morning.

I don't know if he landed in the Bahamas, never heard of that but NY is celebrating Columbus Day with a big parade and lots of Italian songs which is what they do every year.

He did land in the Bahamas - they don't know exactly which island. He made 4 round trips between Europe and the Western Hemisphere, and he attempted to establish a settlement on Hispaniola. He found... Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago, Cuba, lots of islands, in fact, and explored some of South America and Central America.

He refused to believe he had not found India though, which is probably why we're "The Americas," and not "The Columbuses."
