Bacardi has had her workup

I took her in yesterday because lately, she has grown so fat (and I don't have fat kitties just healthy ones) She is constantly at the water bowl and urinating, and I suspected Diabetes. The vet just called and said her blood-work came back normal and added that very rarely does he see cats with such good blood levels like this! So I guess she is just a little pig and maybe eating field and barn mice more than the rest. I just needed the peace of mind that she was not really ill, and am glad to be able to relax about her now. I can't imagine she is getting fat on the dry food I provide, Kirklands is all I feed anymore, and none of my other cats (other than Dunkin) are as fat as her.

Hissy; What a relief to know that Bacardi is not diabetic! Is she older and less active than she used to be? or Could she be "snackin'" at the neighbors? or Do we just blame those "tasty" barn mice!!! As the Kliban "Kat with Red Shoes" loves to sing;

I am glad for you that Bacardi is not diabetic - I had a Doberman that was diabetic - the shots were bad enough, but running after her to catch a urine sample was a real trick!
