Question for the Ladies

I was trying to straighten things in my closet and concentrating on my shoes.
When I counted them, there were 37 pairs, not counting 4 or 5 prs of crocs and some boots. Just wondering is this excess. Please post how many pairs you have so I can know if I need more or less.

Ok I know I am not normal. I have 2 pairs-sneakers and black work boots. the boots husband uses more then I do so not really MINE. He has at least 10 pairs-2 work, a few from highschool(we are 28 yo) and a few tennis/better looking ones(till he wears them out playing a few hard games.

I think that I have about 30 pairs covering summer sandals and winter boots and dance shoes.

I like to get rid of shoes I don't often, every season I go through my shoes and throw away/donate shoes I haven't worn in 6 months. So I have only what I wear- currently it's 3 pairs of sneakers, 4 pairs of sandals , 2 pairs of boots from last winter (need to go shopping for more boots), and 4 pairs of closed toe shoes (2 heel and 2 flats)..I actually think I have more that are in a box to be donated, but I already count those as gone.

I have a pair of sneakers, a pair of flip flops, and some dressy sandals.

I need to buy some dressier shoes, to wear for formal occasions during the colder months.

I counted them a few weeks ago and it was near to 50

Well, I lied. Actually I found 4 more pairs of shoes so the count is 40. That included my two sneakers, but it doesn't include several pairs of crocs. This is very interesting to me. Rosie, You are in the lead.

Yes, excessive IMHO.

I own 4 pair of shoes.

3 dress pair and 1 pair that I use for work and all the rest.

The ones I use for work, I also have 2 backup pair in the closet because I like them. They are black leather track-like shoes that feel like walking in track shoes, but look dressy enough to use for office casual dress. So when I need to replace the pair I am wearing, I take one pair from the closet. Then I go buy another pair to replace the one I took. I always have 2 spare pair in a box on the shelf.

I don't own boots.

Im not a shoe person, i own 1 pair of sneakers, 2 pairs of flip flops and some uggs.

All I can say is EGADS!!!! I have 2 pair of shoes - one good pair, one barn pair, 3 pairs of winter boots - one pair for mud and snow, two pair for cold and snow so I can trade off if liners get wet, but looking at Muck Boot paddock boots to replace those. Also have a couple of pairs of old running shoes that need tossed since I can't wear them anymore - one pair fell apart this summer and the others just hurt my one foot.

I have 2 pairs of sneakers, 2 pairs of flip flops, one pair of black leather shoes for work, slip on casuals that I wear pretty much all the time these days, one pair of black & brown leather shoes for work, and one pair of blue leather shoes for work. I have a pair of hiking boots, and a pair of really warm calf-high boots for snow.

In storage I have two more pairs of boots that my MIL sent me, probably another 5 pairs of sneakers (there was a sale on a style I liked in all kinds of crazy colors about 10 years ago), and and pair of black & white clunky shoes I love.

So what is that... 10 active pairs (depending upon the season), and 8 in storage, 18 total.

40 sounds like a lot - but if you have space for them and use them, I'm not going to judge!

I own five pairs, but have more that I don't ever wear stored away somewhere. These consist of hiking boots, snow boots, tennis shoes, flip flops, and some dressy flats.

My goodness I have 5 pairs of gardening shoes alone!! I count about 60 pairs (Yikes!) including about 8 -10 pairs of flip flops and about 7 pairs of athletic shoes. This doesn't count any winter boots or other outdoor only shoes/boots.

ive lost count most of mine are trainers and a good few pairs off boots i bought some more a week or two ago to hehe

I have loads of shoes. Never counted them, maybe 100 pairs? Since I am retired and never go anywhere, all these expensive shoes now sit in their boxes until I figure out what to do with them.

I've got 56 pairs, including boots, sneakers, sandals and dress shoes. I have a shoe fetish. LOL, And that doesn't count the 8 pr I gave to my son's girlfriend not long ago..

Looks like GailC is in the lead right now with some 60 plus pairs of shoes. I am feeling better and better all the time, only having 40. Keep posting, maybe I will need to go shopping for shoes to catch up.

I have 4 pairs of flip flops, of which I only wear two on a regular basis (the other ones are "fancy" flip flops that I got on vacation a few years back and feel silly wearing them now. I have 2 pairs of dressy flats, one pair of winter boots, and one pair of tennis shoes. I basically wear boots all winter and flip flops all summer..
So I have 8 pairs of shoes total. I don't think I have ever owned more then 10 pair at a time.

My BF calls me the shoe queen. Does that give you any indication of my addiction? LOL. I have so many that I have to spread them all along the house. I have a shoe rack in our master bedroom closet and the entrance closet. Then I have one of the shoe holders than you hang from the closet door in one of spare bedrooms' closet. :LOL2: I just counted all my shoes and came up with:

1 pair of runners
6 pairs of flats
3 pairs of flip flops
3 pairs of wedges
2 pairs of sandals
2 pairs of Uggs
3 pairs of heeled boots
3 pairs of boots
2 pairs of ankle heels
12 pairs of pumps

Total: 37

Not to mention my slippers. hehe. Clearly pumps are my weapon of choice, looove them. In my defense, I have to dress nice for work! lol.

I THINK I have somewhere between 25-30.
