I just came home to a huge puddle of cat vomit. The cats have thrown up before but usually its undigested food, or a hairball. Its never that much. But this was just a huge puddle. It honestly looked like a human threw up. It didn't smell bad and it was the color of food, but it wasn't solid, it was mostly liquid. I have 11 cats and I have no idea which one did it. I've checked them all out and everyone seems to be perfectly fine. They're actually all looking at me like I've lost my mind because I'm a little freaked out by this.
So should this worry me? I don't know if I'm panicking about nothing, but I've just never seen a cat vomit this much. Though, I suppose if I think about it, it might have been equivalent to a pile of solid food that's been vomited up, and maybe it just looked bigger because it was liquid.
I'm going to continue watching them all, to see if I can figure out who the culprit is, but in the mean time is it normal for a cat to throw up that much? Or not necessarily normal, but is it possible to just be an upset stomach and nothing more severe? I hate that I don't know which one did it.
