He isn't an outdoor cat, right? Is there any way he could have escaped outside? Search your house, search the outdoors even more throughly than you already did. Once Wessie went missing, and he came back on the fifth morning. Another time, I was worried that he had disappeared. Our relatives were over, and all he wanted to do was hide. I searched everywhere, I wasn't sure if he was inside or out, and finally discovered him in a box under the stairs. Look in boxes, storage areas, hidey holes. Cats discover places to hide to take a nap very easily, you might not even know that the place exists! Search outside, put up posters, ask neighbors if they have seen Casper. Look for open windows that he may have escaped out of. I know how it feels to lose a cat, I hope you find Casper! Sending many vibes your way!

Chances are he's still in the house. A 4-month old kitten can find a lot of hiding places we'd never think of. He could be inside a box spring, behind a radiator, curled up in a large flower pot .... and if he's deaf, he won't be responding to your calls. Have you tried putting out some strong-smelling food, like tuna fish?

that you find him soon!

Oh, and I think it was the first day we had Wessie, I was terrified that he was lost. I couldn't find him anywhere, and then discovered him in the box spring of a bed, like jcat suggested. Keep us updated!

Our foster kitten was missing earlier today. I KNEW for a fact he was in the main part of the house; all the other doors were closed.

He was behind the entertainment center. I found him by using my digital camera to take a photo behind it!

The most difficult place Biscotte hides in is the bottom of a desk - the part behind the plinth that supports the drawers. She can crawl in from the back because she is small, and it is impossible to see her or to move the heavy desk. The first time she did it I panicked for hours.
