Its going to be at least another month for house to get fixed if they decide to allow it(long story, I fired contrator got angry at house and depressed never took it further till we got a failure to meet terms of your loan/preforeclosure letter. If we didnt have cats I wouldnt mind them taking it(or alot LESS cat)

Anyway we have no central heating and if I take loan out and house falls through I dont want to have to pay. house is 2 floors Open dininig/kitchen/living room that lead to a hall 2 bedrooms on bottom, 2 bedrooms and a bath on top.

Any recomadtions for a fairly safe heater(will not be left on without me home) We have your typical 2 speed but looking to get a few more. and cost efficient. we try to keep them on low(part of last year we did this but our main one died after dog attacked it(????) was good but fell once and shot out

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Im not sure which ones would be good. Could you google safe energy efficient space heaters and see what they recommend. I have 2 that we used during the night for the bathroom and bedroom. Bathroom only has one because the pipes freeze even with the oil heat going.

What about a coal stove or wood stove, would those be an option or possibly one of those fireplace things they sell at Coles?
