Simple today.... I am not fully awake...

Do you take your lunch to work or do you buy it? If you take it, what do you take?

I normally take my lunch to work. I will buy those frozen burritos and take those. I will also take a PBJ and chips sometimes. Today I am taking vegetable pasta salad that I made.

I buy almost every day unfortunately. Except Monday, I usually have leftovers from Sunday dinner at my mom's.

I don't really like sandwiches and I don't cook traditional meals because I get home so late from school. I need to start making casseroles on the weekends and then freezing portions for work

I make BFs lunch everyday and its always the same. Sandwich, yogurt, 2 packs of fruit snacks, poptarts, an apple and strawberry breakfast bar, peanut butter crackers and chips. The only variance is what type of lunch meat and if he gets a can of juice or yoo hoo in his lunch

Both DH and I take our lunches to work; it's very rare for us to buy something.

I take a lowfat yogurt for my lunch or a 1/2 cup container of Dole fruit. That's it.

DH will take leftovers from dinner. Today he has a small container of leftover spaghetti from last night, a thick slice of homemade garlic-cheese bread, and some pumpkin bars for his lunch. He can heat the spaghetti in the microwave and heat his bread in the toaster oven there. His co-workers have told him that they'd gladly trade their lunches for his. When he told me that the first time, I said, "What, are you guys seven years old?:

we try to always take ours, but some weeks we do better than others! We try to cook extra food for dinner every night so we have plenty of left overs to take for lunch the next day!
Today I have left over ribs, a bit of steak, some grapes, sweet potato fries, and an apple for a snack *which I already ate...
The Beau has some home made pizza and some chips.

I bring mine all the time now. Since I joined Weight Watchers, I want complete control of what I eat, and the points, so I bring a little sandwich on a whole wheat sandwich round, some low-fat cheese and deli meat, an apple, and I made this great minestrone recipe that's only 1 point per serving, which is really filling.

So I'm saving money, as well....sandwiches out are so expensive.

When I work (which I'm not right now) I normally prefer to buy my lunch. I'm not a huge fan of leftovers, and not a fan at all of prepackaged, processed food. I just don't like the taste.

When I worked overnights at the hospital the cafeteria wasn't open so I had to bring my lunch every day and I hated it.

I'm at home but I usually forget to eat lunch.
I pack healthy lunches (nuts, fruits, vegetables, whole-grain breads) every day for my husband and daughter, though. The school lunches are terrible; usually they consist of 2 pieces of bread and a slice of lunchmeat thrown into a brown paper bag, yuck.

I work in a restaurant with really good food. But after 13 years Ive gotten a little tired of it. There are times when we are so busy we don't get any breaks--but when we do I usually bring fruit, or popcorn, or salad.

Every day, except Wednesday & Friday, I take my lunch to work. Those are the days my best friend, and co-worker, can eat lunch with me, as her schedule differs from mine. On Wednesday, we go to Wendy's for burgers and fries; Friday, it's pizza. I used to buy veggie pizza nearly every day (at a different place), but got away from it, as I can't stand the noise of the food court there. I started taking Lean Cuisine entrees for lunch instead, with a cup of fat-free Yoplait yogurt. The Lean Cuisine pizza is wretched, BTW, but I eat it anyway.

I work 4 days a week, and buy my lunch in the cafeteria about half the time (depending on what is on the menu.) I usually keep a couple cans of soup in my locker, so there's always something available if the menu sucks. I usually bring yogurt and a breakfast bar every day for morning break, and an apple or banana for afternoon break (assuming that we are staffed well enough to get them, that is.)

Pack a lunch.
It is very rare for us to not eat from home due to financial reasons and trying to be health conscious.
I love eating out and there are many great choices health wise available to us locally, there is a great mainly organic deli I would frequent several times a week if possible

I've been buying every day the last two weeks or so, but keep meaning to bring it. I ran out of lunch meat and haven't bought more yet.

I'm home right now from school/clinicals until my health improves (praying that's soon so I can go back for the January session!). When I was doing school/clinicals full time I always tried to pack my lunch/dinner with me to try and be more cost-efficient.
