Yes we join the ranks of having three vehicles for two people.

We picked up a 2011 Ford Fiesta SE. We were looking for a good gas mileage vehicle (hybrids not the best in our snowy winters). So currently I'm averaging 37 mpg which is MUCH better than the trucks average of about 15-16 mpg.

Currently the truck is parked outside as though we have another outbuilding its kind off full. Though I think in a snowstorm we could rearrange and part the car in that building.

I call it my baby car as its so tiny.

Its a thrill though to pull in a tight parking spot vs parking the truck far away.

I wanted the lime green but the dealer couldn't find one with the options I wanted so its a blue metallic. Haven't taken any photos yet either.

We do have lots more room in the garage though......

How fun!! Congrats!

We rented a Prius for a road trip a few months back (hubby doesn't like to put mileage on our cars when driving long distances so we rent) and hubby and I fell in love with it. We are going to be moving 6 hours away from our families soon, so we want to get one for the trips back and forth. Gas is SOOO cheap in those things!

The only thing about a prius and some other hybrids is that the tires the manufacturer's use are harder and not a good performing in snow driving. My boss drives a prius and he does not like its handling while driving on snow. Plus I'm a former Ford employee so I like to stick to the Ford lineup of vehicles!

Yeah, I think we would only ever use it for traveling or during the non-snow season. We're moving out in the country in the middle of nowhere, so we'll need better snow performance vehicles for that anyway. lol Hubby prefers to stick with Ford vehicles now also b/c of the bailouts, but he said he would get the Prius anyway b/c he likes it so much. lol

Congrats!

My hubby went with Ford also because of the bail out thing. Absolutely adore the Mustang and glad we went with it

Congrats! I do love the ford fiestas! They are adorable!
And you are doing much better than Gary and I. Between us 2 we have 5 cars...

Also, go youtube Ken Block and see what a fiesta can do when in the wrong hands!

The last time Ford brought out a Fiesta, we bought one. That was 1978. Dottie loved it, and it WAS fun to drive. It got nowhere near the mileage it was rated at (something like 50 mpg rating, 35 in real life), but it was pretty economical. But, like many imports, it really wasn't suited to American highways and mileages.

We looked at the new ones at the Texas State Fair.

I saw one of those at the Auto show last year. I'm not a Ford fan, but they were cute little things!

Very cute car, shame you couldn't get the lime green! Apparently they're good for outrunning zombies in and that's always good to know.

Congratulations! My sister-in-law has one, and loves it. A word to the wise - if the 2011 allows you to turn the climate control off, don't do it! I know of several people with older models who made that mistake, and either had to replace the system, or do without heat and air conditioning.
