Some of you may remember a thread I posted about neighbors letting their kitty outside all day and night.

I contacted the condo mgt office and wrote the manager an email... never heard anything. But the kitty stopped coming by so I assumed somebody contacted these people.

Well... come to find that nothing has changed. BF and I were leaving yesterday when a guy was out walking his puppy and who was following them???? THE CAT! Not mine said the guy. He showed up on our porch. We thought he was a stray. So we started feeding him. Now the cat follows this guy around.

Kitty used to try to get into my condo. This guy says the same thing. I told him the cat IS owned ... etc. I think the cat is trying to find a new owner! LOL.

Here is a pic of Kitty when he was coming around my house....

Oh and the guy with puppy said he and his wife named the cat "Hungry." I also think he is starved for attention.

This is so sad, I know you did what you could and I hope this kitty finds another home somewhere in his travels. He deserves to be cuddled and loved, maybe someone will kidnap him, he would be better off with another family.

Yes, he is trying to find a new owner or something to do or someone to care about him. Poor kitty.

Ah, I have seven already in a two bedroom townhouse and as such I am SIX over the condo limit!

My life is also VERY complicated right now.... sick mother, two properties to manage... yeah, I know... wah, wah, wah... but I am also concerned there would be discord in my house if I brought him in. I suspect he is an alpha.

Yeah, I understand. He seems like such a sweet little guy, I wish I could make it all better for him.

What a sweet looking boy. Hopefully he finds a family that would like to take care of him, seems so loving and trustful to follow people and let them be near him. Maybe the other guy can bring him in?

I would take him in and find him a new home. Sounds like he's terribly neglected where he is currently living. Being outside all day and all night is no life for a domestic cat.

See if a co-worker or relative would be willing to take in this sweet boy.

If your neighbour asks if you have seen their cat.... you haven't.

We have an apartment complex cat. Someone here took the time to get her a collar with the phone and info of the complex. Even though we have a creek and woods where there should be food, she definitely looks like she is being fed and cared for. So nice to see that. Her name is Stormy and she is part Siamese.

Thanks for the suggestions. I kinda hinted to the guy with the pup but he put me off since they already have a cat as well.

A friend suggested I make a warm shelter for him in case he is out in the winter, but I really have no place to put it... and MY cats like to go out into the garage.

And the snowplow guys dump the snow from my driveway into my courtyard.

Or pile it up in front of the courtyard wall.

I don't know ANYone who can take him in. Trying to help rehome a 5 year old female torti (that's another post) that belongs to the mom of an acquaintance. Nothing happening there ... no interest.

I don't disagree that he is "neglected" in a way... but when I met him over the summer, he was a good body weight, skin and fur in good shape. So if nothing else, he is eating enough decent food.

My boys were NOT too thrilled to have him hanging out in my courtyard.

I have one of those too. Almost every day, she tries to come into my apartment. I talked her owner into spaying her, and she's being fed by another kind neighbor. Her body weight seems fine too, and it doesn't get too cold out here. I'll put out a shelter soon, though, just in case.

Then I would take him and drive to another town and take him to a shelter and tell them that he was found on the road outside of town. I doubt the shelter would look in another town for its owner, or that the family would even bother to post flyers locally, let alone in another town.

Even in a shelter he's better off than being on the street surrounded by all of that danger....cars/trucks, poison, diseased cats, cat fights, abuse by freaks who get off on hurting animals etc.
