RIP Boots

You were barely a year old.
Boots belonged to my best friend, and despite all warnings against it, he insisted on continuing to let her outside, unsupervised, claiming she was afraid of cars and would be ok.

She was found this afternoon, dead on the highway in front of the resort.
I truly disliked this beautiful cat, but it wasn't her fault.
I feel bad now that all of my warnings could not save her.

Play safely and free at the bridge little girl.

lBeautiful little girl. She deserved much better than what she had.

God bless sweet Boots.

Oh, the poor baby. How could anyone let such a beautiful precious soul face the dangers of outside.

You're in good company at the Bridge dear Boots

That's particularly sad because it was so preventable. RIP, Boots. I'm sorry you became a victim of the "nothing will happen" mindset. Play happily over the Bridge.

What a gorgeous little girl who could have still been here if her owner kept her inside

That's just heartbreaking.

Rest in peace, Boots, I hope you didn't suffer.

Aww she was beautiful! Poor Boots. It breaks my heart to see the daily slaughter of animals on our roads, but I usually steal myself against it. I have to confess that when I see a cat though, I can't help but be terribly upset.
