Yuk, I flipping hate it. Saturday I was still wearing shorts, but today I am so cold. It's 57 degrees, but it feels much colder. A very cold wind. And I am not really organized yet with winter togs. Me and Zimmie are tucked up in bed and I am staying in the master bedroom for the rest of the night.

I just turned the heat on! I'm freezing in PA! I also just put on my hooodie that my BIL gave me (it has some Japanese anime/manga cartoon cat on it). It's toasty warm...

I just saw Lucie and Loki cuddled up together in the recliner, which I've never seen before--I think the poor things are feeling the cold, as well!

When I took my shower today, I put the heat on in the bathroom. And I have the heat on in the bedroom. I love hoodies!

I'll give South Carolina credit since October started. Mid 70s, breezy, with lows in the 50s at night.
for open window weather and no more AC! Hope we dont have to use the heat until late November/early December. Guess we'll see how this fall goes.

We're in the mid-50s with nights in the 40s. I put the flannel sheets on the bed on Sunday. Thought about throwing the electric blanket on, too, but then decided it's too early. Now, though, I'm re-thinking that idea. There's no way we can have the windows open at night. And the cats are starting to clump together, which means the chilliness is bothering them, too.

I don't think it would be that bad, but it's rainy and dismal, too. And that makes it that much worse.

It is to warm up this weekend around here, to the mid 60s or so; that won't be bad. I'd like to put off turning the heat on in the house until we absolutely have to.

I don't like the fall season because it's a harbinger of what's to come. And what's to come isn't pretty by any stretch.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Ive got the woodstove going. I hate using our oil heat Id rather roast myself then use that dry icky useless oil. We thought we had more time to stack wood though....I had to go and dig out dry pieces because everything is soaked from this stupid rain.....I guess this weekend we are cleaning out the front room and stacking our starter pile in there then stacking the rest on the cement pad....Ugh why does it have to rain Id much prefer snow atleast thats pretty to look at!

Give me the heat ANY day! I hate the cold and have been dressing a lot warmer lately.

I haven't had to turn the heat on for the most part yet, but I did turn in on in the foster room where Macy is as I want it to be nice and toasty in there for when she has her kittens.

We've had morning lows in the 30sF. I've pulled out the long sleeves and turned heat on.

It's been cold here also but maybe NJ doesn't get the cold winds you are getting since I have not needed the heat on yet. If I get a little chilly at night while watching TV I just throw a light blanket over me and I'm fine. I'm still keeping a window open in the bedroom at night but just a little, I need the fresh air. Once I'm under the covers, I get warmed up pretty quickly. The cold just doesn't affect me as much as the heat and humidity of summer.

I'll take the heat anyday too...it's better than what we have now! It was cooler and rainier than normal in September, so we ended up with floods. YUCK!!!! The weather here keeps dramatically jumping back and forth between hot and cold and everyone's sick. Then this past weekend we had lows of about 32 degrees and frost on the ground so my plants froze. So now a warming trend is starting and we will have daytime highs in the 70's. (This is the part I like.
)

Some people actually like this type of crazy unstable weather, but I really can't understand why.

I also hate the cold and relish every hot day. The hotter, the better is most cases. I believe I am a reptile or something.

We had to turn the heat on the other night also. That night it was FREEZING in our house. Nora was laying on my lap, covered in a blanket, and she was STILL shivering. LOL She has a coat on, unlike me, and SHE was shivering. Then you turn to my husband, who was in bed in our room with the windows open and said it was comfortable. Crazy person.

Its 67 here, I don't know what its like cause I've been inside since I went out to work this morning. I would rather have it 77, but I will take 67 over the 99+ days we've had all bloody summer. I'm not wild about cold, but I hate heat and humidity, so I'm ready for some cooler weather.

I agree with you 100%. There's only one thing worse than being cold and that is being wet and cold.
