Hi!

Hi everyone, I am Christina, and I am a junior in College. I just got my first apartment in July, and have been wanting to get a kitten ever since then... well, I have been saving up, and buying a few little kitty things here and there. I am now ready to look for a kitten! And the exciting thing is that yesterday, I was coming home from a weekend camping trip when I decided I would go to the pet store for a few more kitty related things. When I got there, there was a group of three people sitting beside a large cage with two beautiful young russian blues inside, and on top of the cage was a sign that said "Russian Blue Rescue" or something of the like. Out of curiosity, I asked what the adoption fee was (never thinking I could really afford it...) and they said fifty dollars for a spayed/ neutered utd on shots Russian Blue! I immediately asked if they had any babies and they said they would be sure to bring their babies for me to see next Sunday!
So my question is, is there anything in particular I should know about Russian Blues, and do I need anything else (I haven't had a cat since I was 10)? I have:
kitten food
scratching post
toys
litter/litterbox
collar
carrying cage
food/ water dishes

Thanks so much, and I look forward to getting to know you all on here!

Hi there we're so happy to get the chance to welcome you to and your soon-to-be furbaby to TCS. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay with us - we're one great big family and you'll find loads of friends here. If I can help at all while you're finding your way around TCS just click on my username and send me a Personal Message - I'll do what I can to answer your questions.

I'm sure you've thought of it but another handy thing would be to find out the good vets in your area so that you can get your kitty in for an early examination when you bring him/her home.
