Hi everyone, so yesterday we made a cat tree for our new kitten homer, i was hoping stella would use it but shes not interested, she uses it as a scratching post though(even though she has no claws). The tree is made from wood, card and carpet and cost around $25 dollars although i already had the basic frame lying around in the garage. Took around 3 hours in total, we want to add more to it as time goes on. Anyway little homer seems to be enjoying it, we put some rough carpet on it so he can easily climb to the top. Couldn't get very clear pics because he was having a hyper moment

I love that last pic!

What a great idea! Did you start with one of those 2-shelf bookcases and then add the sides? Looks like Homer's loving it! Give Stella some time; she might come around yet.

Yeah we found the shelf in my garage and we added very strong card for the front and back. The carpet was around $10 and we just glued that on and left it over night, it seems pretty solid, its a really good cheap way to get a tree plus i had alot of fun making it lol.

That is an awesome kitty perch with built in bunk! Window perches are so essential for indoor kitties, and I love your little ramp
. Just a suggestion that will make a huge difference for your kitten.....extend the window perch along the sill and install a ramp up the side to the window perch. Maia has a carpeted window perch that has a couple of steps then a carpet covered ramp, a second shelf above it where she jumps from to the top of an armoire where her very own blanket awaits her.

It was just a basic white small stackable shelf, probably doesnt cost much. We havent finished it yet really, i have the other half of the shelf and im going to put that one to the side of the existing one and will put a mini bridge from one side to the other, i would like to add a hammock or something aswell, i have so many ideas for it i just dont know which one to do LOL. The little ledge at the bottom is only temporary, i have a big piece of wood that i want to takes its place and i want it to go to the top circle. This thing is gonna be huge when its done!

With the grey carpet you used and that it has two holes - it looks like a subwoofer box. I just looked at my DH and told him I have a use for that old subwoofer of his that won't fit in his truck. He wasn't amused.
