When I was a kid I used to get car sick all the time. I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t throw up but I did have a queasy stomach especially since I always sat in the back seat. Also I really got sick on a fishing boat once, I vomited a lot then, it was horrible. Never got sick on a plane tho. So my question today is:

Do you now or ever had any type of motion sickness.

I have had it since I was little. If I am driving almost never get it except circle turns to get on parkway or what not. When driving as a passenger I always have to yell out SLOW...to point ppl honk and pass
plane been on only when to little to remember. Boats..AWFUL.

I get motion sick too..reading while riding is a huge no no. My DH has a habit of "hard stops". If we go out, I prefer to drive.

If I read in the car, I get slight motion sickness. Never have vomited from it, but sure have gotten nauseous. Which stinks, because I used to always be able to read in the car as a kid.

I also got very very lightly nauseous a few times on our honeymoon cruise, but nothing that stopped me or bothered me terribly. Just noticed I felt a little "meh" when the ship would noticeably be rocking.

No.
I've had terrible nausea that was so bad that I couldn't so much at lift my head off of the bed caused by splenda, other incidents with artificial sweeteners before hadn't been as bad. I've also had medication induced vertigo. But that's about as close as I've gotten to feeling like that.

I get carsick during the daytime, and if I'm a passenger. I remember puking in the Kleenex box all the way from the airport to my sister's house in San Diego...she made me drive the entire rest of my vacation. I've never gotten airsick (my ex-husband has a Cessna 152 that I loved riding in.) I've taken ferry boat rides across Lake Michigan and to Mackinac Island, and Alaskan cruises without being seasick. I stay away from amusement park rides though, even though never being sick on them. Why take a chance?

The older I get, the worse the motion sickness becomes. I can't ride in the back seat of a car, and prefer to be the driver if possible.

I was one of those people who wasted their money seeing "The Blair Witch Project". Within 10 minutes after the movie's start, I was so sick I had to go to the car to get some ginger capsules. I spent the rest of the movie with my eyes closed and my head down. Same way with the opening sequence of "Saving Private Ryan".

I never suffer from it. I've just had a cruise around the Med and we had one night where the sea was rough and the ship swayed slightly. Only a couple of people felt sick, but it was like being rocked to sleep in bed, it was lovely!!

All the time, I have a chronic vertigo problem.

I can't ride in the backseat at all, but I'm fine in the front seat and I can read.

My husband and I went on a cruise around one of the bays in Seattle on our Honeymoon and the waves were pretty high (last day in Seattle and the weather had turned bad) both of us felt sick and we were just in the bay. LOL

I haven't flown on a plane since I was 3 so I have no idea how I'd react.

We I was a Civil War reenactor, we did events at Ft. Delaware, on Pea Patch Island. You accessed the island by ferry boat, or, in some case, tugboat. When I made the trip in the morning, I'd get a tad queasy, though I enjoyed the boat ride. On the return trip, I was fine.

However, I'm ashamed to admit I got nauseuous watching certain ship interior scenes in Master and Commander (a great film, BTW). It was when I was dating DH. He, his dad, and I went to see it. I actually had to get up, and go into the bathroom to steady my guts. I was ashamed--here I was sitting between a Marine (DH) and a former Navy sailor (his Dad)! FIL later told me that a lot of Navy guys get seasick even years after serving, so I shouldn't feel bad!

I get sea sickness on rough deep seas but usually only on smaller vessels, like fishing boats...I do okay on cruise ships for the most part, but other than that no.

The only time I get sick in a vehicle is if I was already feeling sick before I got into the vehicle.

When I was younger, I would get nauseous if I tried to read in a car, bus, train. I have grown out of this for the most part, the only thing I may read is a map
. However when my ex is driving our car like an idiot, speeding, running lights, it's a whole different feeling!

No I've never had a problem with motion sickness. I've always been a big kid when it comes to fast rides at fairs and parks. The faster I go and more motion there is the better!!!

I am prone to motion sickness, although I haven't actually vomited because of it since I was a kid. I do get somewhat nauseous if I sit in the backseat of a minivan, or try to read while the vehicle is moving. And takeoff and landing can get iffy for me when flying. I keep candied ginger around when I know I'll be in that kind of situation.

The funny thing was, when I was little, I would vomit several minutes AFTER the plane had landed, while going through the walkway to the airport. There aren't any barf bags in the walkway.....and the flight attendants get really annoyed about having to clean that up
. And because we lived overseas, I was on airplanes frequently. It wasn't good.

I haven't been on boats much so I'm not sure how I'd do. I never got sick on my grandpa's sailboat, or on the ferry, or in a speedboat. But I have no idea how I'd do on the open seas. Could be a problem.

Certain cars make me motion sick, and I have trouble doing bus trips, but I'm fine if I'm driving...I also have trouble if I try to crochet while I'm a passenger in the car. Never had a problem with boats or flying, though.
