Runt as coronavirus

Thread Starter
The vet thinks my moms kitten has coronavirus. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can anyone tell us what to expect. We took her to the vet today and she had a bit of a fever and so were given clavamox. She is from a liter we rescued and homed and she was the smallest and my mom really fell in love with her so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Britt

I can't help you, but I hope someone will come along who can. In the meantime, I searched the forums and found these posts:

Just curious if your vet did a blood test to determine exposure to coronavirus?

If he did then it would be either yes or no.

An FYI for you, it's estimated that over 90% of the worlds cat population has been exposed to coronavirus and will test positive for exposure.

Sometimes in certain kittens/cats, (usually immunocompromised indivduals) the coronavirus will mutate into FIP, a fatal disease that kills very quickly.
