Went to the doctor today

I went to the doctor today and he is going to refer me to the neurologist I saw after my stroke almost 6 years ago. I am back on one of the medications I used to take (I stopped taking it when I couldn't afford to get it refilled). They are going to get the records of my hospital visit too. He gave me a prescription for 15 days to last me until I can get the mail order prescription filled. 15 pills of plavix cost me $80!!!!! A 3-month supply will cost me $75 with my insurance's pharmacy coverage.

This is going to be expensive!

Well that isn't too bad for a 3 month supply. You should see what my DH's Advair costs even when we were able to mail order it. Too bad that you need an immediate supply at that price, though.

Did he think you could have had another mini stroke that triggered that? I hope you can get a definite answer soon. Be careful and stay safe.

I think that is why he wants me to see the neurologist. But on the bright side, I can go back to work on Monday. I cannot afford to be off!

$75 for a 3 months supply isn't bad at all. All of my medications that I have to take on a daily basis are $150 per month total.
