I only have two things I am really proud of:

1. I stopped smoking. Nobody believed I would be able to do this, but I proved them all wrong. It was a 2-year struggle, but eventually I kicked that disgusting habit.

2. I fulfilled my childhood dream of emigrating to New York City. Ended up in Hartford, CT, but that's another post.

3) quit smoking cold turkey
4) raising Lucky from newborn. I didn't think she would live

The one thing I can say I am glad I did is to become a Christian, although I can't say I am proud. Just thankful.

In no particular order, I am proud of:

1. my professional achievements
2. owning my own home as a single woman
3. taking care of my elderly mother
4. getting involved in rescue and helping to move the needle on animal control policy in a neighboring county

1. Fostering stray cats (and ending up keeping them!
).
2. Taking 3 feline leukemia + kittens, and raising them to be happy, healthy, beautiful, loving cats (they're 4 1/2 years old already!).
3. Buying and doing massive renovation of my house. I paid the closing costs & downpayment myself.
4. Teaching English as a second language to foreign students (very gratifying).
5. Historical reenacting and making my authentic clothing.
6. Becoming a library cataloger through job experience. I don't have a formal college education in the area.
7. Taking care of my best friend when she was dying from cancer years ago. She had no kids, and her husband had died. She had no family to help her.
