Happy October everyone!!

I really do love Fall. Hiking in the beautiful hills of Gatineau...aaaaah, so fresh and crisp!

Off to work in a bit. Tonight we are going to DH's grandmas for dinner. Thn probably coming home to watch Dexter.

Tomorrow DH has a surprise for me in the morning. He is taking me somewhere but won't say where. Oh and we have dentist appointments as well tomorrow.

I will be leaving for training in Scarborough Sunday night, so I won't be able to do this thread Monday or Tuesday.

Have a good weekend folks

Another supposidly icky day here. Im so sick of the rain already, the dogs are going nuts with cabin fever cuz of all the rain. Some touch up cleaning today cuz we have people coming over to play a card game and this afternoon we are officially selling Bertha and doing the title work for her new owner. I hope she has a good life running a 17 yr old around..haha....

Have a good day everyone!

Morning and TGIF!

It's been raining pretty much all night and is still dreary this morning. We received 2.5 inches of rain yesterday.

Not too much going on this weekend. Tonight, DH and my brother are going to a HS football game, Lewisburg v. Southern Columbia (go Green Dragons!). And tomorrow will be house chores and laundry. We have errands to run as well. Sunday, my sister and BIL are coming for dinner....rotisserie-style roast chicken is on our menu as we all love that chicken. With gingerbread for dessert. For some reason, to me, the fall season means gingerbread.

Have a great weekend!

Good morning!

Glad it is October, one of my favorite months
It seems the fall weather is attempting to travel on it - mid 70s this weekend with lows in the 50s! It's also supposed to stay like that through next week and hopefully beyond!

Shopping for my Santee (and myself) after work today. Managed to get in early so I can leave early

We're having lunch at Zaxbys because the one down the street is running a special today - whatever you buy there today, if you bring your receipt back between Oct 2-17 and receive that same meal for free

Gotta make sure to walk my 5+ miles later today on the treadmill. Yesterday I got to 4.3ish, and never walked again after dinner
Hubby got on it though and I ended up falling asleep reading on my Nook.

Have a great day & weekend

We have had so much rain from the storm, I am not sure if I can get the car out our road. I need to go to the grocery store, but that will depend on if the water is over the road. My son and his wife said their road has 5 ft. of water over it. She couldn't get in to work today. School is cancelled. So I may end up having to stay home and catch up on some mending and ironing. Yuck.

Thank god it's Friday is all I can say... I am cranky, tired, etc. I literally just want to curl up in a ball and go back to bed. Dana and I are fighting/arguing about money.
He doesn't think he makes enough and is feeling down and inadequate and I keep telling him that I don't care! Our bills are paid, we have extra to play with, so I make more than him, so what?!? Argh, men!

Ok, I'm done venting. Have a good day all.

Finally October is here. We got lots of rain this morning and right now it's still coming down but not as heavy. It is much cooler too
This week should feel like the Fall and I'm so happy about that. Also this month always reminds me of Halloween and upcoming holidays which are all not that far off. So I will start with my Halloween graphics just to stay in the mood
Have a nice weekend all.

Morning... Happy October!

Well... this week has been a weird one. Summer arrived last Weekend with 90+ degrees, then Monday we tied the record with 111 degrees.. Been hot and humid (!!) all week too, usually in September we get the super dry Santa Ana winds.. Not this time. And now this morning, for the past hour or so, it's sunny. Nice and bright and sunny, with a few clouds here and there, and it is THUNDERING???
Very strange.

Well last night's MS Fundraiser went well, BF and I bought $20 of raffle tickets and didn't win anything. Oh well. It was also a launch party for Great Divide Brewery from Denver, so we got free glasses. Sigh, because we need more pint glasses.
Also, $1 from every pint sold was donated too, the place was packed so I'm sure they donated lots of dollars.
I was DD so I limited myself to 2. I feel great this morning though!
BF, not so much.
hehe..

Today, I plan to do laundry including sheets, do a bit of gardening, and no other plans yet really. I should maybe do some homework, but I don't like to do homework on Fridays so I probably won't.

Have a great day everyone!!

Walked to the supermarket this morning in torrential rain. Lots of street flooding. Drivers very ignorant and inconsiderate by driving through puddles and soaking me from top to toe. When I got home I was soaking wet and so was much of the groceries. Only good thing was the temp was 64 degrees so at least I wasn't cold. And it's still raining in Hartford.
