I have 2 cats that got along famously at first but lately the older male(yellow) has been hissing at the younger female and not playing with her as much and he goes up and smacks this black male cat that I have taken in(and was marking inside :-P some) & she also hisses and growls at the black male cat but sometimes lays around in the same room with him with no major issues
The yellow male doesn't even want to be on the same floor(we don't heat the upstairs in winter) with him or wants out when he is in so I sometimes have to seperate them in the basement which is not a real nice basement smelly and dirty(So I don't like putting them down there then having them upstairs) but then sometimes they are both down there together and I hear no fighting?(there is a flap so they can come in from the cold or rain etc) Also I have another outdoor male who is terrified of the black male and only starting to trust dog(has been 5 mos) I feel terribly guilty about him being out and he seems to really want in but frankly he was pretty wild to start with and I feel I am at capacity for indoor pets at 4 and a very bad lower back. I am going NUTS with all this(also feed a few ferals)I know that this winter the guilt will eat me alive.I have tried to advertise them I have asked everyone I know the only option would be a farm that doesn't care and I just can't do it. I have plastic dog houses all over for the outside one but he doesn't seem to want to use them(of course) and yes they have been cleaned.We have an awful animal control system around here; 5 days and euthanized at the shelter and I am not allowed take them to any of the other counties and would always wonder what happened to them. Any suggestions or help appreciated!I feel that I have no life at all anymore I love animals but this is too many for me!Thanks in advance.
