Another rainy day today. I am off to work in a bit. Tonight I actually get to come straght home for once. Actually I may go to the gym.

I am making some pork tonight for dinner. Probably watch some Dexter ,we just started the first season and we like it!

Good Morning Everyone.

Its a gross rainy day outside with the possibility of flash flooding which means if we need to go to town at all tonight we have to take the long way because the underpass will be flooded out. According the the radio we could get anywhere from 1/2 an inch to an inch an hour today but its supposed to taper off this evening. Unfortunately this means poop issues with Franklin because that pupper refuses to poop in the rain but he will pee under the Explorer where its nice and dry. Weirdo dog!!

Ick. Dull and dreary and just pouring pretty much all day into tonight.

Southwestern Summer Pork Chops for dinner tonight. We'll have to use the indoor grill. Maybe some twice-baked potatoes and a nice veggie salad. Dinner will be early as DH is working some OT and he bowls early.

Good morning

Slightly achy today from my butt kicking workout with my friend. My legs are mad at the splits stretching (I'm VERY far from a split!), and for some reason my shoulder feels bruised

I usually can't figure out how half my bruises and aches come from after working out like that!

Trying to get through work at a decent pace today, no getting side tracked this afternoon!!! Then maybe some SS shopping (

) and home to my treadmill for a minimum of 5 miles. Woohoo!

Weather is supposed to be in the low 80s (YAY! and 70s next week!!) today, chance of rain in the afternoon, hopefully after I get home, tired of driving in the rain with the idiots here.

Morning all!

Well it's a good thing I got paid today as I get to work to see that my $131.20 Avon order has come in.

Boy do I know how to spend money...

We got a new foster last night! My Grandmother called me all upset because this cat has been hanging around their place and he has been out in the rain looking all sad and pathetic, and do I have any space for him, etc, etc.

Of course I took him in. He's a big, gorgeous orange and white boy I named Guido.

Not a whole lot going on today at all. After work we have a bunch of chores to do and then a workout. Hope you all have a good day!

It started raining very heavy here at about 5am but since it has not done a drop. We may get more tonight with heavy winds but they keep saying we're going to get bad weather and it never happens, oh well.

I went for my mammogram yesterday, thank God ok there. Then I went grocery shopping. While I was looking for treats for Autumn an older man was loading up his carriage with huge bags of dry cat food. He started telling me how he looks for bargains because he feeds 18 feral cats. He also TNR's as many as he can, I just said God Bless You. What a wonderful, caring man he was. Wish I could meet more people like him, just thought I'd share.

Morning.. another strangely humid day here in SoCal. I woke up drenched in sweat this morning, not from heat, it was pretty cool last night actually, but the humidity. Ick! That shower felt sooooo good!

Congrats on the new addition Kailie, and thanks for sharing LaRussa- that man you met who takes care of the ferals is wonderful!

Not sure what today will bring, I should go to do my site inspection but I am really not feeling it right now. We'll see.

Tonight is the 3rd Annual MS Fundraiser at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, it's a BBQ place/beer bar where we go kind of often. Actusally I haven't been there in ages, but the Hopheads meet there at least once a month. Well one of the Hopheads has MS and does a bike ride fundraiser thing every year. The last 2 years he raised a good amount, I think about $1500 last year from donations from Beachwood plus raffle tickets. I will buy some tickets, maybe I will get lucky and win some good beery things. I volunteered to be DD tonight for BF and our friend Scott, so I won't be drinking too much. That's not a bad thing.

Also today I will be trying to find good hotel deals for Las Vegas, we might head there this weekend to meet our friend who is going there from Boston. It's always a fun time when we meet up with him in Vegas. I'll see how feasible it really will be.. we'll have to drive, as there's no such thing as last minute cheap flights anymore. The drive there is fine, it's always that drive back home on a Sunday that's horrible...

Anyway we'll figure it out and see if it's worth it or not.

Woke up around 3am this morning to finish cooking food for my fiance. After eating we went out together and walked our new doggy around a bit to see if he had to make poo's yet and then came back in. I got a foot rub and then spent some quality cuddle time with Cody before he went to sleep in order to be able to wake up tonight at 4:30 for work.

After he fell asleep I quietly got up and took the dog out once more then let him off the lead in the house where he proceeded to follow me and lay at the entrance to the kitchen, watching me prepare Cody's lunch for work and then I spent some time cleaning the kitchen.

Didn't know the counter was wet so when i went to pick up a brand new bag of dog food it broke ALL OVER MY CLEAN KITCHEN. :cry:

More time spent cleaning and outside once more to try for poo's. Then back inside to eat lunch and settle down on the computer and watching Toy Story.

o.o Busy morning/day so far. Before I go to sleep this afternoon I'm going to head out to the living room and play some chase games with Bean Bean so he doesn't feel too unloved now that we have a dog.

It's been raining heavily since about 4AM this morning. We're also having high winds.

DH & I are on "vacation" this week. Some "vacation"! We're re-building our stairway, and installing crown moulding in the foyer. Today, we stained the stair treads (a cherry-mahogany finish) and the matching handrails and newel posts (the balusters I painted yesterday; a gloss white). The humidity is really messing with the stain drying. Our goal is to polyureathane the stained wood tomorrow. Don't think that's going to happen! The cats HATE the new balusters (those are the spindles that hold up the handrail). The old ones were not up to code--too far apart. We spaced the new ones much closer, and now the cats can't jump through them to chase each other! They run up the stairs, and give us the dirtiest looks!

It's cloudy here in my place today. I'm so lazy to do anything, maybe I'll just sleep all day! That's my hobby
