I foster unwanted cats/ kittens and as cat owners know mornings can be very rowdy. I have a 5-6 month old kitten, she can get extremely wild in the mornings. She is just running all over the house from top to bottem. Well this morning she was in her usual craziness and she jumped on the banister on the second floor. I guess she lost her balance cuz she fell and there are steps and the first floor landing. All hard wood. After i heard the fall i ran to see what happenend cuz all the cats just scattered. she ran and hid in the basement. When i went to check her she growled at me . This is not her nature at all...she sleeps on my neck and purrs and kisses me all night long. Her lil nose was bleedin, not very much though. A this point she is lettin me know she is upset and leave her alone. I took her upstairs and laid her on my bed. I keep checkin her every few min. She is sleepin. I woke her up and she let me feel her from head to toe to see if anything was broken. I made her follow my fingers with her eyes, she seems ok that way. Just tired right now.I am going to treat her as if she has a concussion and not let her go into a deep sleep. Any other ideas?? She is purring now, just seems tired....

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

The best, safest thing would be to have the vet check her out.

And I thought my vet was opening late when they switched from 7 to 8.
With luck, because she's around 6 months old, she mostly landed properly. It's very likely though that even doing that her face whipped down into the floor.
Hopefully the vet gives her the ok.

I'm so glad you are taking her to the vet. You just never know what kind of internal injuries there could be.
And watch her closely for any sign of brain damage as she grows.
I worry all the time about this happening to Queen Eva. She is so clumsy, and is always trying to keep up with Tolly. Tolly does a lot of leaps that Queen Eva is not yet capable of, and as she is always following him around I worry she will try one and over shoot and end up crashing. Queen Eva rarely lands on her feet, she's just growing so fast.
Keep us posted on the baby.

Attitude flew into an exam table at the vet's office.
She was done with her appointment and I was letting her walk around on her leash(there were no dogs in the waiting room.) She went flying back into the exam room and went to jump on the table as she ran out of leash and smashed face first into the metal table. I grabbed her made sure she looked OK finished paying and went on my way. Young kittens seem to bounce and they seem to think they can fly.
Any updates on what the vet said?
