So my cat has had this rash on her abdomen about 8 weeks now. It's in the the part of her abdomen that doesn't have much hair on it. The rash is red, scaly, blotchy, without any discharge. The rash has very slowly grown to the size it is now. My cat does not itch or heavy lick the area and it seems it does not bother her at all.

In the past she has had allergies and redness to her eye area with got better with treatment of oral benadryl. Should I try that again? I also was thinking of trying an antifungal. I have nystatin cream at home. So you guys know if I can use this on cats? Or should I try neosporin?

Try a vet.
Since it's spread it may need a bit more treatment than just an antihistamine or what you can provide at home. (I wouldn't be surprised if the vet suggests a steroid shot) You don't want it getting worse.

Is this an indoor only kitty? Could she have fleas or gotten into something that could have caused a contact dermatitis type reaction?

yes, she is an indoor only cat with no major changes in her diet, although i did change her kitty litter brand about 8 weeks ago (from WBCL to tidy cat b/c of affordability). I work in a hospital and have a pretty hectic work schedule that doesn't correlate with any vets schedule and I can't get off. I don't have anyone that can take her for at least the next 4 weeks. So any thoughts would be helpful, although i'm leaning towards trying the nystatin.

I bet this could be it. She really does need to see the vet but in the meantime if you can get her off of the tidy cat, please do so. Anything that's unscented and doesn't have additives, even if it's plain non-clumping clay, will work for now.

Antifungals, even creams, are difficult for the liver to metabolize and filter out. Never use them on a cat without a vet's supervision.

Your main worry is that whatever this is causing the rash is that it could get a secondary bacteria infection (such as staph). And no, neosporin won't prevent that, the cat would need a vet to look and determine whether she needed to be treated with a shot or oral antibiotics.

I do suggest, also, that you go ahead and treat all the animals in the household with frontline or advantage. It's easy for a flea to slip in on you and some cats are ridiculously sensitive to flea and other insect bites.

Are you absolutely sure you can't ask a friend or family member? Or beg/bribe someone to cover you for a couple hours? Are you one good terms at your vet clinic? Maybe call and ask if any techs there do pet sitting on the side and would take your cat to the vet for you?
